You are not the only parent going through some serious pandemic burnout. Kelly Clarkson virtually called into her own show on Tuesday to share updates on her quarantine time with two children River, 7, and Remington, 5.
Clarkson looked the part of almost any parent today, wearing no makeup, a green bathrobe, and an eye mask with “Shhhhhh,” imprinted on it.

“Sometimes women don’t rise,” Clarkson joked with guest host Taraji P. Henson. “Sometimes we fall,” she continued. “I thought we were done with quarantining, and I’m so tired. I broke a nail. I’m so broken. This is me broken. My almond milk just expired. America, this is what I look like. You’re welcome.”
The talk show host didn’t disclose why she and her family were cooped up in quarantine together but she hinted at a possible exposure to COVID-19.
“I’m not even sick. It’s so weird,” she explained. “Anyway, we’re keeping it safe.”
It turns out the star is more like us than we previously had known. She relayed that her children have made her watch Disney’s Encanto on repeat for days.
“When I watch a movie with my children, it’s like watching three movies,” Clarkson told Henson. “We’re watching Encanto and then you’re listening to my son who always leaves mid-movie and just starts singing the soundtrack, and then you have River who literally just, right after the line is said, she just repeats like she’s memorizing dialogue for a play.”
In addition to bingeing Encanto, Clarkson also divulged that, with it being mid-February, she still has all of her Christmas decorations up.
“Look, it’s busy, there’s a lot going on. I have all my stuff up,” she said as she showed a picture of her Christmas tree. “[The Kelly Clarkson Show] asked me, ‘Do you have your Christmas stuff up?’ And I’m like, ‘Don’t judge me!'”
“Judge away, America! I’m into it,” she added.
Mamas Uncut has since learned that when the episode was taped a few weeks ago, Clarkson was made to quarantine for one day in compliance with NBC’s COVID-19 protocols. Following her day off, she returned to work filming her program as scheduled.
