The mother of three recently revealed that she is banned from posting photos of her daughter, 16-year-old Lola Consuelos, according to earlier reports.
Kelly Ripa Feels That She Can No Longer Share Photos of Her Daughter Online!
During a recent “The Tonight Show” appearance, Ripa told host Jimmy Fallon:
“It’s so bizarre. I’m never allowed to post a photo of her — ever … Why did I have these kids if not to exploit them on social media?”
However, Ripa managed to get a thumbs up from Lola for one photo and posted it to her Instagram last week.
The caption read:
A double miracle. A Lola Consuelos cooking segment followed by an approved photo. Miracles happen every day.
The image seemed innocent enough. It showed Ripa’s daughter smiling beside herself and “Live!” co-host Ryan Seacrest after she appeared on a segment.
But many Instagram users quickly started making sexual comments about the high school student…
One user asked where she “got those boobs from,” and told Kelly and Mark to “watch out.” Another person pointed out that “she has boobies.”
Some even implied that she was “showing off” her figure.
While many of the more disturbing comments have been deleted, it’s clear that Kelly’s fans had a lot to say to the “perverts.” Some Instagram users wrote:
Anyone making ANY comments on a child’s body needs to check themselves!
Please stop commenting on a young girls body. Truly horrifying that you cannot stop yourself from making such inappropriate comments.
Your daughter is absolutely stunning. People are disgusting.
… Don’t think it’s okay for you to speak on someone else’s child inappropriately. Common sense.
At several points, Kelly herself even stepped in when fans got out of line. She had no problem blocking users who commented on her daughter’s appearance.
Is there something wrong with your mind? She’s a child and you sound like an ass. You will be blocked momentarily because you need to go away. Bye.
Luckily, it seemed like most of Kelly Ripa’s followers weren’t condoning the inappropriate comments about the underage teen.
But it seems like Lola may not approve of more photos in the near future.
