Two years after Bob Saget’s death, his wife Kelly Rizzo, is opening up about finding love again.
On February 4, Kelly Rizzo attended a Grammys viewing party with her new love, actor Breckin Meyer. “It took a while to get to the point where I’m like, ‘OK, I think he’d be happy with it’” Rizzo told E! News last night.
Kelly admitted that she remains close with Saget’s daughters and friends and received a blessing from Saget’s three girl before finding love again. “It’s wonderful, it just meant so much to have their blessing. They’re just angels. And to have them support is so meaningful.”
Bob Saget’s Wife Shares Their Last Text Message Conversation
In her first interview since her husband’s sudden passing, Kelly Rizzo, travel blogger, and wife of late comedian Bob Saget, opened up about his passing for the first time.
While talking with Today’s Hoda Kotb, Rizzo shared the last text message she received from Saget before he died on January 9. “I was just very grateful that it was all, ‘I love you so much.’ I think I said, ‘I love you dearly,’ and he said, ‘I love you endlessly,’” she recalled.
“I said, ‘I can’t wait to see you tomorrow.’ And then, you know, it was just all very — it was just all love,” Rizzo concluded.
As Mamas Uncut previously reported, Bob Saget was discovered dead on January 9 just hours after he performed a comedy show in Florida. Saget was staying at the Ritz Carlton in Orlando, Florida.
His cause of death still remains unclear. However, preliminary autopsy results confirm that neither drugs nor foul play was involved in Saget’s untimely passing.
Saget was 65 years old. In an Instagram post, Bob Saget wrote how excited he was to dive deep back into stand-up. He revealed his goals for the future and was looking forward to continuing the current tour he was on.
“He was the best man I’ve ever known in my life. He was so kind and so wonderful.”
“Still every second is horrible,” Rizzo said while talking with Kotb. “But you start to come to terms with it a little bit.”
Rizzo also mentioned the incredible outpouring of love she received following the death of her husband. As Mamas Uncut reported if there was a common theme in the tributes to Saget it was that he was a kind man, who made sure everyone around him felt loved.
“He put it all out there,” Rizzo said of her husband. “He told everyone that he loved, and I mean quite frankly anyone he met and spent any time with at all, he told them he loved them endlessly and tirelessly. That was his entire message.”

As Rizzo continued, she said there was never a doubt in your mind if Bob Saget loved you because he made sure you knew it. Rizzo then got emotional when Kotb shared an anecdote about Bob.
After speaking with a friend who told Kotb that Bob Saget always tried to get the first flight home to his wife, unlike many other comedians who always tried to get the last flight, Rizzo broke down. “That is what was always so special. Every time he would be out of town he would try. He would work so hard and Bob loved to sleep in but when he was away he would always try. He would go to bed at two and wake up at four just to get on a 6 a.m. flight so that we could spend time together.”
“He valued every single second that we had together.” But Rizzo takes solace in knowing nothing was ever left unsaid in their relationship.
