Kevin Costner Has Gone ‘Above and Beyond’ Prenuptial Agreement With His Wife, But She Refuses to Leave His House Amid Divorce

Kevin Costner was already shocked and surprised when his estranged wife, Christine Baumgartner, filed for divorce, but he’s now growing irritated at the fact that she won’t vacate their shared home. In an effort to get her out of the home, the Field of Dreams (1989) actor is asking the courts to get involved.

New legal documents, which were obtained by TMZ on Tuesday (June 13), detail a prenuptial agreement signed between Costner and Baumgartner. The prenup states that Christine must vacate the premises within 30 days of filing for divorce – she filed for divorce on May 1, so June 1 should’ve been her cutoff.

Unfortunately for Kevin, she still hasn’t moved out and it has resulted in him experiencing a great deal of financial and emotional stress – despite going above and beyond what the prenup agreement states. He was initially responsible for paying her $1.2 million, but has already paid her more than $1.45 million.

Not only that, but he has agreed to give her an additional $10,000 to cover moving costs and an extra $30,000 per month to pay for a rental. Still, she won’t move out and he fears she’ll continue to stay at the home in an effort to force Kevin Costner to agree to her financial demands – which keep growing worse.

Costner and Baumgartner initially met at a golf course in 1990 while rehearsing for a role in Tin Cup (1996). They crossed paths again in 1999 and started dating shortly after. They briefly split in 2003 due to a disagreement about having kids, but picked things back up and tied the knot on September 25, 2004.

They share three children together – two sons named Cayden Wyatt (b. May 6, 2007) and Hayes Logan (b. February 12, 2009), and a daughter named Grace Avery (b. June 2, 2010). Kevin and Christine saw their relationship strengthen during the COVID-19 pandemic, but things have soured in recent months.

Costner also shares four children with two different women – his ex-wife, Cindy Silva, and ex-girlfriend, Bridget Rooney. He and Cindy had three children – Annie (b. April 15, 1984), Lily (b. August 4, 1986), and Joe (b. January 31, 1988). He and Bridget share one child together – Liam (b. in November 1996).

Kevin Costner Says He Never Wanted This to Happen Again

According to Page Six, which obtained the court documents filed by Kevin Costner, the actor described his living situation as ‘surprising and disheartening’ and said her refusal to leave has left him ‘effectively homeless.’ He’s worried that her demands will only continue the longer she chooses to live in the home.

“I was married once before and, upon separation, found myself without home base and unable to live in my own home. I never wanted this to happen again,” he said, according to the court documents. He also claims that she racked up a hefty credit card bill and used nearly $100,000 of his money without notice.

Not only that, but he is claiming that she wants to make details of the prenup agreement public – which Kevin Costner believes will welcome ‘unwanted and embarrassing global media attention’ and will cause ‘irreparable harm.’ He also fears he’d be targeted by burglars and fraudsters if that were to happen.
