Season 3 of The Kardashians is finally here and that can only mean one thing – Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson have finally revealed the name of their 9-month-old son. The 38-year-old socialite previously confirmed that her baby’s name will start with a ‘T’ – much like his sister, True Thompson.
During the season premiere, Khloe was speaking to the camera when she said it – “His name is Tatum.” She went on to call the baby-naming process ‘hard,’ but is happy she stayed true to the Kardashian trend of having children share the same first letter in their name. “So, Tatum and True,” she told the camera.
However, what Khloe didn’t reveal at that moment is that Tristan’s full name wasn’t always Tatum Thompson. Instead, it was Tatum Kardashian.
As Mamas Uncut previously reported, news that Tristan had cheated on Khloe again was made public just moments before Tatum was welcomed into the world via a surrogate. As a result, TMZ reports that an angry Khloe originally documented Tatum’s full name as Tatum Kardashian after taking him home from the hospital.
While its unclear exactly when Khloe changed her mind and ultimately her son’s name, TMZ adds that Tatum Thompson is now her son’s full legal name. Wow!
Khloe and Tristan welcomed Tatum in July 2022 via surrogacy. He was conceived in November 2021, just one month before Tristan welcomed a son with Maralee Nichols – which ultimately led to Khloe breaking up with Tristan. The two haven’t been together since, but are taking their roles as co-parents seriously.

Khloe Kardashian has done a good job of keeping her son out of the public eye over the past nine months. While we don’t know much about the little guy, we do know that family and friends have already given him a nickname – Tate – and some family members think he looks like his uncle, Rob Kardashian.
In April, during an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Khloe explained the reasoning behind keeping Tatum’s name a secret for so long. At first, she simply didn’t have a name for him and wanted to ‘feel him out’ before giving him one. She decided on a name quite a while ago, but still decided to wait.
A major reason why it took so long was because she wanted to wait for the Season 3 premiere to reveal it. The only problem was she had no idea the premiere was this far away – hence why it felt like we were waiting forever for that reveal. Now that the premiere is here, the name has finally been revealed!
“He’s eight months old and he is a little chunk. I wouldn’t have it any other way,” she said of Tatum during her interview with Jennifer Hudson in April – adding that she loves a chubby baby. “He is a quiet baby. He’s a happy baby, which is amazing – and my daughter was the same, so I’ve been lucky twice.”
Are Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson Going to Get Back Together?
It doesn’t matter where she goes or what she’s doing, there’s one question Khloe Kardashian is getting tired of having to answer – is she ever going to get back together with Tristan Thompson. It’s a question she has been asked repeatedly ever since Tatum’s birth, but it appears a reconciliation won’t happen.
Just one week ago, she took to a fan page comments section to ask fans to stop pushing the narrative that she and Tristan are going to get back together. It’s something she has already shot down on several occasions over the past year, but is something she’s growing tired of hearing since she has moved on.
“It’s tiring. But I suppose You guys will continue the narrative you want regardless of what I say so what’s the point. It’s exhausting but I learned people will only understand to the level of their own perception. Most are stuck at believing the lies because it’s the narrative they want to fuel. Have fun….” she wrote.

As for why she was seen supporting Thompson at a recent Los Angeles Lakers’ game, she said some things are ‘just as simple as they seem’ – adding that it was just a ‘family member supporting another family member ESPECIALLY during a difficult time in life.’ So no, they aren’t getting back together!
