Kim Kardashian Says Her Mother, Kris Jenner, Often Wonders Whether Fame Did More Harm Than Good to Her Family

Season 3 of The Kardashians continued with Episode No. 3 on Thursday (June 8) and there is plenty to talk about. At one point during the episode, Kim Kardashian and Scott Disick are having a conversation about fame and what their life would be like if they weren’t famous – what would they be up to in life?

“I wonder what life would be like now if we didn’t take that road or take that journey,” Kim tells Scott, with her daughter, North, doing cosmetic makeup on her. Scott claimed Kim would’ve been an entrepreneur whether or not she became a famous icon, adding that she is and always has been ‘such a hustler.’

That comment prompted Kim to bring up something her mother has been struggling with – guilt over her family’s fame. Kim admits her mother often wonders whether fame has done more harm than good to her family. “She’s been really sad, like, ‘What did I do?’ Did I create them to get to this level…?” Kim said.

Scott Disick added that ‘no one’s easily happy’ and ‘everyone kind of has something great and something bad,’ while Kim Kardashian doubled down on her claim that her mother thinks the family’s troubles are a result of their fame. “And I can handle it all, even the bad stuff, I can handle it,” Kim said of the drama.

Disick then asks Kim if she has ever been depressed, but she sort of dodges the question. “What’s so crazy is when my dad died, I remember automatically being like, ‘Okay I’m going to speak at the funeral. This is happening. My dad left us and now we finally have to grow up, we have to figure it out,’” she said.

While Scott and Kim were having a heart-to-heart conversation, Kim’s daughter, North, was applying cosmetic makeup onto her mother’s face and putting a wig on her head – all in hopes of making her unrecognizable to those she sees on a daily basis. And it worked, as they fooled everyone in the house.

Season 3 of The Kardashians premiered on May 25 with the release of Episode No. 1 and will continue with one episode being released every Thursday – the most recent release was June 8, while June 15 is the next release. The series was recently renewed through its sixth season, so it’s not going anywhere.

Kim Kardashian is Always Making Headlines

If there’s one thing Kim Kardashian does exceptionally well, it’s creating headlines and generating attention with just about everything she does – or says. This week was no different, as she caused a stir on numerous occasions, including rumors of a new man in her life, who goes by the name of Fred.

She has been seen smiling at her phone while texting someone consistently throughout the new season. Recently, someone off-camera asked her if it was Fred that she was texting – confirming there’s a new man in her life. Of course, we have no idea who Fred is and whether or not they’re dating or just friends.

Fans also tried to criticize Kim over her cooking skills, which were questioned by her 5-year-old daughter, Chicago. When asked about the favorite dish her mother makes, Chicago responded that her mother doesn’t cook – instead, she has a chef. Of course, Kim tends to disagree with her daughter’s opinion.

Kim faced more criticism over photos and a video she uploaded to Instagram on May 18 – which showed the socialite sleeping, or at least appearing to sleep. Fans were quick to notice that it was likely staged, considering she still had a full face of makeup. Like we said, she knows how to make headlines!
