It has been almost an entire year since Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kanye West after six years of marriage but the drama rages on.
Kanye — who legally changed his name to Ye last year — has been taking jabs at Kim and her rumored boyfriend, Pete Davidson, in his new song “Eazy,” which was released on Friday. The song also shames Kim’s parenting style and heavily suggests their four children are left with nannies and the family’s TV crew, with Ye rapping: “I got love for the nannies, but real family is better / The cameras watch the kids, y’all stop taking the credit.”
“When you give ‘em everything they only want more / Bougie and unruly, ya’ll need to do some chores / Rich-a** kids, this ain’t yo’ mamma’s house / climb on your brother’s shoulders, get that Top Ramen out,” he goes on.
Ye then raps: “God saved me from that crash just so I can beat Pete Davidson’s a**,” with a feminine voice asking “Who?” after Pete’s name.
The day after the single was released, “Ye,” went live on Instagram from his car — alleging he was not given the address to his daughter Chicago’s 4th birthday despite repeatedly asking.
“Y’all, I was just wishing my daughter a public happy birthday. I wasn’t allowed to know where her party was, there’s nothing legal that’s saying that this is the kind of game that’s being played,” Ye, 44, alleged.
“It’s the kind of thing that really has affected my health for the longest and I’m just not playing. I’m taking control of my narrative this year.”
He continued: “I’m being the best father — the Ye version of a father — and I’m not finna let this happen. … Chicago, Happy birthday. I love you and I’m just putting this online because I need y’all’s support.”
“I did call Kim, texted nannies. I got on the phone with Tristan [Thompson, Khloé Kardashian’s ex], he asked Khloé [and] won’t nobody give me the address to my daughter’s birthday party right now,” West alleged in his social media message. “That’s gonna imprint in her mind that I wasn’t there for her.”
However, Kanye West seemingly made an appearance at Chicago’s birthday party as Travis Barker‘s daughter, Atiana De La Hoya, shared a video that appeared to briefly show West at the outdoor get-together speaking to Kris Jenner.
He later thanked his ex’s sister’s boyfriend for allowing him access to the party.

“I’m so happy right now, I just came from Chi’s party,” West, 44, said in a video Saturday (per Hollywood Unlocked). “I just gotta shout out to Travis Scott for sending me the address and the time and making sure that I was able to spend that birthday memory with my daughter.”
He continued, “I just saw everybody. It was Kris [Jenner] and Corey [Gamble] and Kylie. Kylie let me in, right when I got to the spot, ’cause security stopped me once again when I got there.”
Kim was allegedly shocked at the claims.
“Kanye was always supposed to have Chi at 4 [p.m.],” the source said. “They pre-agreed to have two separate events and it was his idea.”
The insider continued, “Kim was shocked that he went on live accusing her when it was his idea to begin with to have two separate parties. She was going to have hers early in the day and he was throwing Chi her own separate party. No one was trying to stop him from coming.”
Laura Wasser, Kim’s divorce lawyer, made a statement saying: “Mr. West being kept from the children, by security or anyone else, is news to us.”
The entire situation has now left Kim feeling “overwhelmed and upset,” but she wants to maintain a healthy relationship with her ex for the kids’ sake.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, a source explained: “Kim has been overwhelmed and upset by Kanye’s recent interviews and antics. Kim’s main priority has always been their children. Her goal has always been to have a healthy co-parenting relationship with Kanye, where both of them are involved.”
They went on to add that her relationship with her late dad Robert Kardashian following his divorce from her mom is her motivation for this.
“Kim had an incredible relationship with her dad, even after her parents got divorced, and she wants that for her kids too,” the insider said. “Kim has just been trying to put a structured plan in place so that her children can feel safe, secure, protected, and loved by the both of them.”
Last month, Kim filed to become “legally single” as she told courts that Ye had failed to respond to multiple requests to officially “terminate” their marriage.
“I have been attempting to settle our dissolution with [Ye] since I filed for divorce in February 2021,” she said. “I have requested several times that [Ye] agree to bifurcate and terminate our marital status. [Ye] has not responded to my request.”
