After watching the new documentary about Spears’ life, Kim says she sympathizes with the singer, as she also went through something similar when she was pregnant with North.
Kim revealed how she is no stranger to media shaming, after watching “Framing Britney Spears.”
She went on to say the hardest part of being pregnant with North was the media criticizing for her weight gain.
The magazine covers were endless — one even compared her to a whale which made her, of course, cry.
She shared a bunch of the covers, with headlines such as:
“Dumped at 200 Lbs,” “I’ll Never Be Sexy Again,” “I Can’t Stop Eating,” “Paid To Get Fat,” “Don’t Call Me Fat,” “I’ll Eat As Much As I Want,” “Alone & Binge Eating,” “Yes, I’m Fat,” “Kim’s Body Struggle,” “You Call This Fat” and “My Butt Won’t Stop Growing.”
She went on to say how she was shamed on a weekly basis — much like Britney.
Kim believes that no one should be treated with such cruelty or judgement, even if they are famous or lead public lives.
And while Kim says she was able to digest the media’s shame into motivation, she did admit it damaged her mental health.
An amazing reminder that bodies change constantly and that is okay — even Kim Kardashian’s.
