After Queen Camilla offered an update on King Charles’ cancer battler on Thursday, Charles’ nephew is sharing even more information.
While the Queen said the King is “doing very well,” Princess Anne’s son Peter Phillips, is admitting that while the King may be doing well he is “frustrated.”
While sitting down with Sky News Australia, Peter said his uncle, King Charles, “is in good spirits.” However, the King is “ultimately…hugely frustrated that he can’t get on and do everything that he wants to be able to do.”
“But he is very pragmatic,” he adds, “he understands that there’s a period of time that he really needs to focus on himself. But at the same time, he is always pushing his staff and everybody, his doctors and nurses, to be able to say, ‘Actually, can I do this and can I do that?’”
Peter continued, adding that the “overriding message” he’s trying to shared “would be that he’s obviously very keen to get back to a form of normality and is probably frustrated that recovery is taking a little longer than probably he would want it to.”
Peter’s interview comes after Kate Middleton also revealed she too is battling cancer as well. Neither King Charles nor Kate Middleton have share the specific cancers they are battling.
Charles has said how proud he is of his daughter-in-law during this time and Peter shared similar sentiments. He called Princess Catherine “remarkable,” adding that she and Prince William “make a fantastic team.”
He also applauded how well they have been able to balance their public life and the private life with their three kids.
This update comes after Buckingham Palace made sure Queen Camilla doesn’t overdo it.
As King Charles continues to battle cancer and Princess Catharine continues to heal post abdomen surgery, Queen Camilla and Prince William have been taking on extra duties as the top working members of the Royal family. Now, new reports are alleging that the Queen is going to take some time off.
For the next 10 days, Queen Camilla and King Charles will spend some quality time together while Camilla takes a break from royal duties. According to reports, Camilla will step away from the public eye until Commonwealth Day on March 11.
The Queen is expected to make a solo appearance at the celebration, following her break.
Sources told People that the Queen usually takes a break this time of year, adding this time is no different, and it is not connected to King Charles’ cancer battle.
While meeting with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, King Charles admits he’s been reduced to tears as he battles cancer.
“Wonderful to see you looking so well,” Sunak told the King, according to the BBC. “It’s all done by mirrors,” Charles joked, before adding how much he appreciates all the well-wishes.
“I’ve had so many wonderful messages and cards, it’s reduced me to tears most of the time.”
This isn’t, however, the first time since being diagnosed with cancer, King Charles is sharing his own personal statement with the world.
“I would like to express my most heartfelt thanks for the many messages of support and good wishes I have received in recent days,” the King wrote in the statement shared on the Royal family’s website. “As all those who have been affected by cancer will know, such kind thoughts are the greatest comfort and encouragement.”
“It is equally heartening to hear how sharing my own diagnosis has helped promote public understanding and shine a light on the work of all those organisations which support cancer patients and their families across the U.K. and wider world. My lifelong admiration for their tireless care and dedication is all the greater as a result of my own personal experience.”
Prince Harry and King Charles are reportedly putting their differences aside as Charles takes on the health battle ahead.

Reports revealed that Harry returned to England from California to see his father after learning about his cancer diagnosis. The same day Prince Harry arrived to see his father, video showed King Charles reported being transported by helicopter from Buckingham Palace.
According to the Daily Mail, Charles will continue fighting his battle “away from prying eyes” in Sandringham.

Seven days after undergoing surgery on his prostate, Buckingham Palace has shared heartbreaking information.
During the procedure, doctors discovered that King Charles has cancer.
“During The King’s recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted,” according to the emailed statement. “Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer,” NBC News reports. Considering the wording of the statement, it’s unclear if King Charles has prostate cancer or a different form.
“His Majesty has today commenced a schedule of regular treatments, during which time he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties. Throughout this period, His Majesty will continue to undertake State business and official paperwork as usual. The King is grateful to his medical team for their swift intervention, which was made possible thanks to his recent hospital procedure. He remains wholly positive about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible. His Majesty has chosen to share his diagnosis to prevent speculation and in the hope it may assist public understanding for all those around the world who are affected by cancer.”
This is a developing update.
UPDATE: Just hours after Princess Kate was released from the hospital, her father-in-law closely followed. In a statement issued by Buckingham Palace, King Charles has been released following his own surgery.
“The King was this afternoon discharged from hospital following planned medical treatment and has rescheduled forthcoming public engagements to allow for a period of private recuperation. He would like to thank the medical team and all those involved in supporting his hospital visit, and is grateful for all the kind messages he has received in recent days.”
As Queen Camilla was spotted leaving the hospital without King Charles, reports asked her for an update.
“He’s fine, thank you,” she said heading to her car, according to ITV’s Chris Ship.
UPDATE: A new report from People has revealed that King Charles has been admitted into the hospital where he will undergo a procedure for an enlarged prostate.
The People report also suggests that prior to being admitted into the hospital himself, King Charles paid a visit to his daughter-in-law Princess Kate Middleton, who remains under doctor care more than a week after undergoing abdominal surgery.
The BBC confirmed People’s report, stating that a statement from Buckingham Palace confirmed the King has been official admitted into the “London Clinic private hospital, where the Princess of Wales had surgery last week.” Queen Camilla was reportedly by her husband’s side.
According to the BBC, the King’s stay in the hospital will be much shorter than his daughter-in-law’s and is only expected to stay there for one night. The statement from Buckingham Palace also revealed that the King is “delighted to learn that his diagnosis is having a positive impact on public health awareness” and is thankful for the well-wishes he has received.
Just minutes after Kensington Palace revealed that Princess Kate would likely be hospitalized for two weeks following an abdominal surgery, King Charles’s health issues were also made public.

According to new reports, King Charles, 75, will also be hospitalized next week. Buckingham Palace announced that the King will undergo a “corrective procedure” for an enlarged prostate.
“In common with thousands of men each year, The King has sought treatment for an enlarged prostate,” the statement said. “His Majesty’s condition is benign and he will attend hospital next week for a corrective procedure.”
In addition to that, Charles will also take a short break to recover. “Public engagements will be postponed for a short period of recuperation.”
When asked why King Charles decided to make his procedure public, NBC reports that a Buckingham Palace source revealed Charles “was keen to share the details of his diagnosis to encourage other men who may be experiencing symptoms to get checked, in line with public health advice.”
