Kourtney Kardashian confirmed that she is, in fact, dating long-time “friend” Travis Barker.
Kourtney confirmed the good news by posting a photo of them holding hands — which Travis reposted to his Instagram story.
And while Kourtney’s friends and family were over the moon about the news — fans felt the match was “random” but actually, it was anything but.
They have actually been friends for 15 years.
The two first met in 2006, when Travis was dating Paris Hilton and Kim was traveling the world as her friend/assistant.

In 2017, Travis moved to the same gated community in Calabasas as Kourtney, and the two quickly began having private dinners at each other’s houses.
While this was happening, Kourtney’s relationship with Scott Disick was deteriorating for the world to see before she ended it in 2015.
And four years after the split, Kourtney revealed during an episode of KUWTK that the pressure of “sharing everything” from her life with Scott had “mentally drained” her and was a factor in the breakup.
Fast forward to 2017: Travis makes an appearance on KUWTK in an episode that also revealed Scott Disick relapsing during a trip to Dubai.
Kourtney immediately went to hang out with Travis just after having a deep conversation with Khloé about Scott’s relapse. “Our neighbor and friend, Travis Barker, decided to come over because his kids and my kids are really good friends,” Kourtney shared in the episode.
In one scene, Travis, Kourtney and their children all spoke about school. And less than a year later, Travis made another appearance on KUWTK during a holiday special where he and his kids made gingerbread houses with Kourtney and her children.

At the time, Kourtney was on and off with her now-ex-boyfriend, Younes Bendjima. But she split with him for good in 2019 and was spotted out for dinner with Travis once more aaaand Travis denied they were dating.
“Kourtney’s a dear friend,” he told People. “I mean, I love her to death. I love her family to death. But yeah, just friends.”
