Kourtney Kardashian kids have seemed to have grown fonder of Travis Barker and on Father’s Day, of all days.
Penelope and Reign sang Barker’s praises with their mom proudly posting their sweet cards to their new stepdad on Instagram.
Kourtney Kardashian’s Kids Turn A Corner With Travis Barker On Father’s Day
As many fans know, Penelope had a heartbreaking reaction to learning Barker proposing to her mother.
It all started when Kourtney said yes and celebrated the engagement, she decided to call her children — Mason, 12, Penelope, 9, and Reign, 7, whom she shares with ex Scott Disick — and tell them the good news.
Kourtney FaceTimed Penelope and told her about the proposal, with sister Kim Kardashian close by. “Do you want to know what my surprise was?” she asked Penelope, before revealing: “We got engaged!”
And while viewers were unable to see Kourtney’s phone screen, Penelope could be heard crying on the phone. “Is that upsetting?” Kourtney asked while Kim said, “Penelope! Why are you crying, baby?”

Penelope then hung up the phone, as the cameras panned to Kourtney looking upset over her daughter’s reaction.
“I feel bad for P,” Kourtney said, adding in a confessional, “Penelope took it hard. I think it’s a big change for her and even though she loves Travis, I think she doesn’t know what that means. Is that taking me away? I think she doesn’t know what it means.”
Kourtney then phoned Reign to which he shared little interest and did not seem very happy with the good news. However, taking a peek into the Father’s Day cards the kiddos wrote this past weekend — it seems the family has turned a new leaf.
Reign wrote a simple but sweet message to the drummer, simply writing: “dear Travis happy father’s day” next to a little drawing of two stick figures — seemingly symbolizing Travis and Kourt — holding hands with a red heart between them.
While Penelope wrote a long and heartfelt message to Travis, praising him for being “so so nice” and “kind.”

“You are so so nice and kind you are so amazing you are the beast,” she wrote, seemingly misspelling the word “best.” “You are the beast drummer ever,” she added, before going on to commend Travis for making her mom so “happy.”
“You make my mom happy!” she wrote. “happy fathers DAY. Love, Penelope.”
The 9-year-old also added a series of eight hand-drawn hearts at the bottom of the card — possibly signifying each member of their blended family — alongside the word “family” written underneath.
It sounds like all is well in the Kardashian-Barker family!
