Kylie Jenner took a very understated approach in announcing her new brand, Kyliebaby. Earlier this month, the influencer and entrepreneur posted a photo to Instagram of her 3-year-old daughter, Stormi Webster, in the bath. She captioned the photo “Bath time with @kyliebaby”. The tagged handle links to a blank Instagram account that has already accrued 708,000 followers.
Kylie Jenner has been preparing to expand her Kylie brand for a long time.
Jenner began Kylie Cosmetics, a now 900 million dollar company, in 2015. In the 6 short years since then, she became one of the world’s youngest billionaires, (a title she lost in early 2020 after she sold a majority stake in her company) and became a mother to Stormi, who she is co-parenting with rapper Travis Scott. The influencer worked hard to make the Kylie Cosmetics brand a household name, and now she’s planning on expanding her reach.
According to Page Six, last year, Kylie Jenner applied to trademark Kylie Baby, submitted her paperwork to trademark Kylie Body, and Kylie Hair in 2019, and earlier this year, she filed for Kylie Swim. She trademarked Kylie Baby under skincare products, cribs, strollers, diaper bags, baby bottles, and clothing. As she already sells skincare products under Kylie Skin, she has experience in the creation and inclusion of new, more childcare-directed products for Kylie Baby. Page Six also hypothesized that she will sell bath products given her current line, also under Kylie Skin.
The inclusion of Stormi as mama’s little business partner implies her future with the Kylie brand.
Last month, Mamas Uncut reported on the idea that Kylie is raising Stormi to take over the Kylie empire after her. By casting Stormi to be the face of Kylie Baby, Kylie Jenner is priming the world for her involvement in the company. Despite the fact that she’s only 3, Stormi is posed to do great things. Even if she doesn’t end up taking over her mother’s company, Kylie is raising her daughter to be “smart and kind and driven.”
PageSix also predicts that Stormi’s 9 cousins will have opportunities to feature as models for the brand. As miniature influencers already, the next generation of Kardashians and Jenners have been preparing to help their auntie essentially since birth. Kylie Baby appears to be the beginning of the entrepreneur’s next chapter, and she’s bringing her family along for the ride.
