The Frenchies are safe at last! Lady Gaga can breathe a sigh of relief now that her two beloved French bulldogs are back with team Gaga following the violent theft that left her dog walker critically injured. Koji and Gustav were returned Friday the Los Angeles Police Department said.
According to police, the pups were returned unharmed Friday night at around 6:00 pm at LAPD’s Olympic station in Koreatown. Following the return of the dogs, Ryan Fischer, the 30-year-old victim, released a statement thanking first responders and his medical team.

“The woman found the dogs and reached out to Lady Gaga’s staff to return them,” the LAPD said in a statement. “The woman’s identity and the location the dogs were found will remain confidential due to the active criminal investigation and for her safety.”
“The dogs are happy,” Joe Germanotta, Gaga’s father, said Saturday, NBC News reports. “We had them checked out by the vet and everything is fine. The family is extremely happy.”

Ryan Fischer speaks out for the first time following the violent incident, thanking health care workers, first responders, and Lady Gaga herself.
A third dog on the walk was not taken and Fischer had some sweet things to say about the dog following the violent altercation.
“4 days ago, while a car sped away and blood poured from my gunshot wound, an angel trotted over and laid next to me,” Fischer shared in a statement on Instagram. “My panicked screams calmed as I looked at her, even though it registered that the blood pooling around her tiny body was my own. I cradled Asia as best I could, thanked her for all the incredible adventures we’d been on together, apologized that I couldn’t defend her brothers, and then resolved that I would still try to save them… and myself.”
He describes his determination to see “the family” reunited and called Asia his “guardian angel.”
“I smiled at her shaking form, thankful that at least she would be okay,” he continued.
“The gratitude for all the love I feel from around this planet is immense and intense,” the dog walker wrote.
“I felt your healing support! Thank you. I am humbled and grateful that attention and focus from the police were enough to get Koji and Gustav back to safety, and I know they are committed to bringing these criminals and attempted murderers to justice. I am so appreciative of everything you continue to do.”
He goes on to thank first responders and health care worked writing, “I can’t thank you enough.”
“And to Elisha, my family at Haüs and @ladygaga,” he wrote, addressing Gaga directly. “Your babies are back and the family is whole… we did it! You have shown so much support throughout this whole crisis to both me and my family. But your support as a friend, despite your own traumatic loss from your kids, was unwavering. I love you and thank you.”
“I look forward to the future and the moment when I get bombarded with kisses and licks (and maybe even an excitement pee?) from Asia, Koji, and Gustav,” the statement concludes.
We are thrilled that Fischer is on the mend and that the whole team came together, in his telling.
Police have not said whether the dogs were specifically targeted or it was a crime of opportunity. The dogs were taken on Wednesday night and police are still investigating, trying to find the man that shot Fischer and his accomplices who abducted the dogs and drove the getaway car.
Police said Friday night he sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was stable at a hospital.
The same day, Gaga repeated her offer of a $500,000 reward for the safe return of the two dogs. “My heart is sick and I am praying my family will be whole again with an act of kindness,” she wrote on Instagram.
