Larry Myers Jr., who rose to fame on Season 10 of My 600 Lb. Life, died of a heart attack on June 13 – just three days after celebrating his 49th birthday on June 10. Larry’s death was confirmed by his cousin, Todd Darrell, on Facebook on June 17 – sharing a link to a GoFundMe created by Myers’ god-sister.
“It’s with great sorrow that we announce the passing of my dear cousin Larry Myers. Many of you know him as Mr. Buttermilk Biscuits. If you can help us we would greatly appreciate it. Larry has fought the good fight. He has overcome some of the biggest challenges he has ever had to face,” Darrell wrote.
In the comments section, a Facebook user named Krissy Mac said he ‘went live a few days before his death’ and described the videos as very disturbing. “He kept crying out for help, I tried to call him through messenger and everything, and he would not respond,” she wrote, without adding any further context.

Larry Myers Jr. always had a strong passion for music and started sharing his talents with the world by the age of 10. He went from singing in a small storefront church to singing on one of the biggest stages in the entire world – the Apollo Theater. He loved sharing his gift with the world and did so unconditionally.
“Larry always made himself available to sing at special events anytime anyone asked, most of the time free of charge,” his god-sister, Sonya Hines-Hall, wrote in the GoFundMe description. It wasn’t until his mother and nephew died that he started binge eating and gaining weight at an uncontrollable rate.
Myers underwent weight-loss surgery years ago, but ended up gaining another 400 pounds in the five years after the surgery. He was bedridden when he appeared in Season 10, Episode 13 of My 600-Lb. Life – a reality TV series on TLC. Larry’s episode was released in January 2022 and fans loved him.
He becomes the 15th patient from My 600 Lb. Life to die – joining Henry Foots, Sean Milliken, James King, James Bonner, Lisa Fleming, Rob Buchel, Kelly Mason, Coliesa McMillian, Renee Biran, Gina Krasley, Ashley Randall, Laura Ann Perez, Destinee LaShaee, and Angela Gutierrez.

“His struggle with weight gain/loss never dimmed his drive to show love and kindness to all he met,” Sonya Hines-Hall (his god-sister) wrote in the GoFundMe description. “The cost to do so is more than we can handle and we are asking for your help.
