In a twisted tale, Larry Paul McClure, Sr., a registered sex offender, confessed to killing his daughter’s boyfriend and then attempting to marry her himself.
McClure wrote a letter to police in West Virginia confessing to murdering his daughter’s boyfriend, John Thomas McGuire, 38, on Valentine’s Day. McGuire’s body was discovered in September in a shallow grave.

In the letter, which was obtained by The Daily Telegraph, McClure wrote, “I just want it over. NO TRIAL. NO TAXPAYERS MONEY SPENT FOR A TRIAL. It is hard for the state of WV to fight against itself because I pled guilty/no contest. Thank you for your time on this matter.”
The letter also included details of the murder, according to WVNS.
In response to the letter, McClure has been charged with first-degree murder. His daughters, Amanda Michelle Naylor McClure, 31, and Anna Marie Choudhary, 32, have also been charged with first-degree murder according to reports. They are currently awaiting a grand jury presentment.
According to authorities, the victim was hit in the head by a bottle of wine, tied up, injected with two vials of methamphetamine, and then strangled.
McClure and his daughter Amanda allegedly obtained a marriage license a few weeks after the murder, though the incestuous marriage is illegal in West Virginia.
When I’m not hanging out with my three-year-old and husband in Brooklyn, I’m busy writing stories for Mamas Uncut and managing PR + Marketing for Magnolia Bakery, based in New York City. On weekends, you can usually find me at a local park or playground pushing my daughter on the swings, “researching” the best almond croissants in Park Slope or launching into impromptu family dance parties at home, the sidewalk or, every once in awhile, a restaurant bathroom. I’m still trying to master the whole parenting thing, but I have learned that copious amounts of coffee, humor and humility are involved on a daily basis.
Mamas Uncut is THE online place for moms. We cover the latest about motherhood, parenting, and entertainment as well – all with a mom-focused twist. So if you're looking for parenting advice from real parents, we have plenty of it, all for moms from moms, and also experts. Because, at the end of the day, our mission is focused solely on empowering moms and moms-to-be with the knowledge and answers they’re looking for in one safe space.
