Law Roach’s 3-Year-Old Falls Out Of 17-Story Window In Chicago, Dies

Law Roach‘s nephew died this past Tuesday after he fell out of a window on the 17th floor of a Chicago residential building.

According to Chicago Police, the window screen had been pulled inward and Roach Jr. was “found unresponsive laying on the sidewalk outside of the building” at approximately 10:40 p.m. local time.

Lamar suffered multiple blunt force injuries.

The boy was then taken to Lurie Children’s Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Currently, his death is under investigation and there are no potential suspects in custody.

In the past few days, Roach confirmed his nephew’s tragic death in multiple posts on his Instagram Story.

“Thank you all for the prayers and well wishes. This is the toughest thing I’ve ever had to deal with. No one should have to bury a 3 yr old [sic] baby,” wrote Roach.

“I keep reading this over and over hoping to not recognize his name … my God!” he wrote, regarding a Chicago Tribune article on the tragedy.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified the boy on Wednesday and conducted an autopsy on Thursday.

“I love you all especially my Tribe,” Roach shared.

The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is also investigating after his death according to spokesman Bill McCaffrey. It was also noted that the department had no contact with the boy’s family prior to the investigation.

“1120 N. Lasalle is currently in compliance with our exterior wall ordinance requirements as ownership submitted the required report on 03/19/21,” Department of Buildings spokesman Victor Owoeye wrote in an email. “In that report, the owner’s structural engineer certified that the exterior wall and windows were in a safe condition.”

The designer later posted another message to his Instagram story, addressing fans and followers he would get back to them soon.

“Also, I’m receiving all of your calls and texts messages. Please give me some time to respond. Please email [email protected] for all request[s] to send flowers. I love you all especially my Tribe.”
