Luke Combs and his wife, Nicole Combs, are ready to add to their growing family! They shared the news with their followers in a joint Instagram post on Monday, revealing that their second child is officially on the way. “Joining the 2 under 2 club! Baby boy #2 coming this September!!” they wrote in the caption.
The Instagram video featured a collage of photos that showed their 9-month-old son, Tex, wearing a “Big Brother” shirt. The video was set to a new song by Combs titled ‘Take You With Me.’ The song hasn’t been released yet, but is currently scheduled for a March 24 release – just in time for the announcement!
Nicole also shared the video on her Instagram Story, calling the news “a sweet surprise.” She also credited Tampa- and Nashville-based photographer Angelina Oliva with the photos before starting a Q&A through her Instagram Story. “Now that the cat’s outta the bag, let’s catch up!” Nicole wrote.

The first question she was asked was whether or not she had a gender preference this time around. “I know this is cliche, but we truly did not care as long as baby was happy and healthy,” she replied – adding that there have been times when she thought it was a girl, but also times when she thought it was a boy.
Next, she was asked if she has any concerns with her husband’s world tour coming up. “Not going to lie, yeah. Mostly because I’m due between Australia and Europe,” she replied – adding they would be ‘cutting it kinda close.’ Another user asked what her children’s age gap will be, to which she replied 15 months.
When she was asked if they had any names picked out, Nicole said they don’t even have one idea picked out – adding that ‘boy names are TOUGH.’ An unrelated question asked if it gets hard to avoid the drama among country stars in Nashville, to which she replied that most of it is just speculation from the internet.
She had to bring her Q&A to an end because her ‘little man’ woke up from a nap – sharing a photo of her son’s adorable little feet and pajamas – but said she would answer a few more questions later tonight. With another child on the way, we can only hope she’s taking advantage of those little nap breaks!
Luke Combs Also Has an Album on the Way!
2022 was a special year for Luke Combs and his family. His son was born on June 19, 2022, as he entered fatherhood for the first time – a special moment for any man. Five days later, he released his third studio album, ‘Growin’ Up,’ and his first release in three years – it debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.
Now nearly one year later, he’s announcing yet another baby on the way as his family of three will soon be a family of four. And much like last year, that’s not the only news he has brewing. In just a few days, his fourth studio album, ‘Gettin’ Old,’ will be released and will likely do just as well as his previous release.
The song playing in the background of his baby announcement – ‘Take You With Me’ – will be released as part of that album. “I got a young’un of my own / he’s too young to understand it / When he gets a little older watching the stage where I’m standing / he’ll know it’s about him when I sing I take you with me,” he sings.

“If it was up to me we’d do everything together / and when they’re young like / that days like that don’t last forever /So every chance I get, you best believe I take you with me,” the song continues.
