Did you know that Home Alone’s Kevin McCallister and The Sweet Life of Zack and Cody‘s London Tipton have been real-life romantic partners since 2017? Did you also know that the actors who portrayed those characters, Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song, just welcomed their first child into the world?
Well, now you do because that’s all true! In April, Culkin and Song surprised the world when they announced not only that they were expecting but that their little bundle of joy was already earthside!
Although, the secrecy of their pregnancy should come as no secret seeing as though Song and Culkin are notoriously private despite being household names! In a statement issued to Esquire, the proud new parents revealed their son was born on April 5 at 1:10 p.m. in Los Angeles, weighing 6 pounds, 14 ounces.
They also revealed the special meaning behind the name they gave their son, Dakota Song Culkin. Dakota was Culkin’s late sister’s name. She passed away in December 2008 when she was accidentally struck by a car.
“We’re overjoyed,” Culkin and Song told Esquire about becoming parents four years into their relationship. The actors first met on the set of the movie, Changeland, directed by Seth Green. They have seemingly been together ever since.

In an interview with Song, Esquire asked her about her beau, and what she said about Culkin shouldn’t come as a surprise. “You can’t be around him and not be happy,” she told Esquire’s Ryan D’Agostino, who described both Song and Culkin as not being able to talk about each other without seeming surprised that it is possible to feel this good to be with another person.

“When they first started dating, Culkin told me, ‘I was waiting for the other shoe to drop,'” D’Agostino wrote. “After a while, he realized, ‘No—sometimes it’s just good.'”
