On August 20, Maddie Brush, daughter of “Sister Wives” star Kodi Brown, became a mom of two. On Instagram, the reality star revealed that she and her husband, Caleb Brush, welcomed a baby girl into the world and that she was “born right on time and just right.”

The couple named their daughter, Evangalynn Kodi Brush. Now, Maddie is opening up about the adjustment that comes with going from being a mom of one to a mom of two.

In a lengthy post on Instagram, the mom of two explained that before her daughter was born, she had weaned her son, Axel, off his pacifier. But when they brought Evangalynn home after she was born, Maddie admitted that it was the “ONE THING he regressed on!”

She wrote that sharing pictures and videos of Axel with his pacifier has led to her receiving backlash from her followers. Maddie wrote, “It’s something I set up evaluations for, talk to his teachers about, talk to his doctors about because I get so much flack on here it stresses me out that much.” The mom went on to say that she did everything she could to fight it.

“I took this picture to send to my mom, that we were finally done fighting, after Axel walked around for 3 hours crying till he threw up. We both had melted downs, my house was DESTROYED from him looking for it (because he knows where we hide it) and all the other things you can imagine.”

But after consulting with Axel’s pediatrician, she was told that her son’s need for his pacifier is not something that she should be concerned with during this transitional time. And that’s when Maddie admitted that going from a mom of one to a mom of two has been a bit challenging.

“Our transition from 1-2 has kicked my a**. I know it does so many other moms as well! I hear it! Adding all the stress of your opinions about my child paci does not help and it makes me want to snap back with so much worse than I do and stop showing my life.

I KNOW I am not the only mom who receives advice that is only meant to help but it ends up not being helpful at all. We as moms have enough guilt. Chances are, what you are about to say, has already been said to them 10000x by someone else just coming from a loving place as well. Unless the advice is asked for, just be supportive of the decisions being made. Its really that simple I promise. We are all trying out best here!”

Other moms going through the transition of one kid to two kids rushed to the comments section to tell Maddie that they are going through the same thing. And others praised the reality star for getting real about unsolicited parenting advice from people on the outside.

One fellow mom wrote, “You are the only one who knows how to be Axel’s mom. YOU. One to 2 nearly killed me… hugs mama you got this.”
