After a difficult year, reality star Mama June Shannon says she’s doing what she has to do to get her family back.
Back in March 2019, as TMZ reported, Mama June and her boyfriend, Geno, were arrested while at an Alabama gas station after someone reported a domestic dispute between them. After officers responded to the call, drug paraphernalia and a white substance in a green pill bottle was found at the scene, inside the couple’s vehicle.
At the time, June reportedly claimed the paraphernalia and substance were hers. They were both charged possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Geno was given an additional domestic violence charge.

Mama June Shares Message of Hope to Her Kids on Instagram
According to E! News, June has since pled not guilty to the charges against her.
Following June’s arrest, her then 19-year-old daughter Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, who has a family of her own, received temporary custody of her then 13-year-old sister Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson.
Honey Boo Boo remains in Pumpkin’s custody. However, now according to TMZ, June wants to get her family back. After a seven-month-long social media hiatus, June returned to Instagram.
The mother posted a photo of herself smiling. She shared an uplifting message to her fans along with it.
It read, “Well decided to get back at it. I’m not saying I’m perfect as every day is a struggle [and] some days I just want to disappear. [And] even though me [and] kids aren’t still seeing each other [and it’s [been] very hard on all of us but I hope one day that will [change] as I want them to know I miss [and] love them very much.”
Hundreds of people responded to her public message to her children. Many told the reality star that they are continuing their prayers for her.

As TMZ reports, June and Geno were recently kicked out of the hotel they were living. And she recently pawned a diamond ring and sold her house. Her family has been trying to convince June to leave her boyfriend. However, they are still reportedly together.
It’s unclear if her daughters have privately responded to their mom’s message.
