You Absolutely Must Hear the Sweet Lullaby Mandy Moore and Taylor Goldsmith Wrote for Their Baby Boy

Though he may only be a couple of months old, baby August has had the pleasure of enjoying his parents’ musical talents. Mandy Moore and Taylor Goldsmith shared that they wrote their baby boy a lullaby to the tune of The Eagles’ 1973 hit “Desperado.”

“[Taylor Goldsmith] and I have been singing this song to our little guy since he was a [peanut] in my [womb],” Moore shared alongside a clip of her husband playing the piano and singing the song on Instagram recently. “Side note — you have the best dad, Gus.”

Mandy Moore and Taylor Goldsmith Have Been Singing Their Son the Lullaby Since He Was in the Womb.

In the cute clip, Goldsmith plays the familiar tune but instead of the lyrics we all know, he inserts a different refrain, artfully created by himself and Moore.

“August Goldsmith, I think it’s time you tried sleeping,” Goldsmith sings in the clip. “But if there’s something you needed, we’ll be in the next room/ And if you’re dreaming, oh dreaming, dream of mommy and daddy/ Cause I swear boy it’s likely we’ll be dreaming of you.”

After nearly a decade away from music, Moore returned to the talent that first made her famous last year with her album Silver Landings which landed in MarchBut she’s not the only singer in the fam! Goldsmith has been the lead singer, guitarist, and songwriter of the folk-rock band Dawes since it formed in 2009.

We are so thrilled that they are sharing their love for music with August, who the parents have lovingly nicknamed “Gus.” The infant was born in February and Moore shared the happy news writing at the time, “We were prepared to fall in love in all sorts of brand new ways, but it goes beyond anything we could have ever imagined.”

Moore turned 37 earlier this month and her husband celebrated her! “It’s this Supermom’s birthday today,” Goldsmith wrote in an Instagram post that featured an adorable photograph of Moore and Gus looking at each other as they laid side-by-side.
