Megan Fox Talks About How Often She Is Slut-Shamed

Shortly after going public with the news of their impending divorce, Fox and rapper Machine Gun Kelly began to grow closer. The new duo met while doing a movie together and clearly sparks flew.

Now, Fox and Machine Gun Kelly, who was born Colson Baker, are enjoying each other company and they haven’t been shy about it. Both Fox and Baker have posted about their love for one another and while many of their fans have been quite supportive of their relationship, Fox admits that it hasn’t been all positive.

While talking with Entertainment Tonight, the actress said she has been slut-shamed for moving on with her love life. “For whatever reason, people are very trigger happy to call me stupid or call me vain or call me a slut, which is crazy. I was in the same relationship for 15 years, you know?”

“It’s bizarre, this image that gets projected onto me that people have just accepted and that’s lived for over a decade, and that I never really did anything to earn in the first place,” she said after somewhat talking about the misogyny and sexism she has faced as a young woman in Hollywood.

However, it’s not something she lets get her down anymore. “I would never fill my brain with anything trolls have to say,” Fox said. Instead, she’d rather be “embracing life and being excited about life” because when she does that then her “life becomes more exciting.” And who doesn’t want that?
