Meghan Markle States Bullying Accusations Were A ‘Calculated Smear Campaign’

Meghan Markle has shut down accusations of bullying royal aides as being a “calculated smear campaign” to take away the focus from the Oprah TV special.

“Let’s just call this what it is — a calculated smear campaign based on misleading and harmful misinformation,” a spokesman for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex informed the Times of London regarding the accusations.

In addition, insiders alleged that duchess would reduce staffers to tears and bullied two senior members into leaving their positions while a royal.

“It’s no coincidence that distorted several-year-old accusations aimed at undermining The Duchess are being briefed to the British media shortly before she and The Duke are due to speak openly and honestly about their experience of recent years,” the spokesman said of this past Sunday’s Oprah special.

“The Duchess is saddened by this latest attack on her character, particularly as someone who has been the target of bullying herself and is deeply committed to supporting those who have experienced pain and trauma.

“She is determined to continue her work building compassion around the world and will keep striving to set an example for doing what is right and doing what is good,” the spokesman said.

This comes just after Meghan and Prince Harry were stripped of their royal titles.

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have confirmed to Her Majesty The Queen that they will not be returning as working members of The Royal Family,” Buckingham Palace confirmed in a statement.

Queen Elizabeth added that due to stepping away from their Royal work, it will not be possible for Harry and Meghan “to continue with the responsibilities and duties that come with a life of public service.”

And as such, they will be stripped of their “honorary military appointments and Royal patronages,” which will go back to the Queen forredistribution to other working royals later.

The statement ends as if the couple had died: “While all are saddened by their decision, The Duke and Duchess remain much loved members of the family.”
