Oscar-winning actress Michelle Yeoh and motorsports executive Jean Todt have some exciting news to share with their fans and followers – they’ve officially tied the knot after a 19-year engagement! The couple invited friends and family members to their wedding ceremony in Geneva Switzerland on July 26.
While this is the type of news couples like to announce themselves, Brazilian driver Felipe Massa beat them to it with a celebratory post on Instagram on July 27. “Happy marriage #JeanTodt & #michelleyeoh love you so much,” he wrote in the caption – sharing several photos from the beautiful ceremony.
Three of the photos feature Michelle Yeoh either holding or posing next to an Oscar award – one photo was of Jean, Felipe, and Michelle holding it; another photo was of Jean and Michelle posing next to it; and the third photo was of Felipe and Michelle holding it. Todt’s only son, Nicolas Todt, is Felipe’s manager.

Michelle Yeoh notably starred in Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022) – a popular film that not only earner her the first Oscar nomination of her career, but also the first and only Oscar win of her career (so far, at least). She ended up winning the award for Best Actress, becoming the first Asian actress to do so.
Also included in Felipe Massa’s Instagram post was a photo of the program for the wedding – which included a photo of Jean and Michelle, as well as the couple’s backstory. According to the program, the couple originally met on June 4, 2004 in Shanghai and they didn’t wait long before getting engaged.
“On 26th July 2004, J.T proposed to M.Y and she said YES!,” the program read before explaining how they got to the point they’re at now – married at last. “Today after 6992 days on 27th July 2023 in Geneva, surrounded by loving family and friends, we are so happy to celebrate this special moment together!”
On July 28, the day after Felipe revealed the wedding to the rest of the world, Jean Todt took to Twitter – now officially known as X – to confirm the special day. Now that my other son [Massa] has « discreetly » spread the good news, I can happily confirm the union with the Love of my life, Michelle,” he wrote.
Michelle Yeoh and Jean Todt Receive Touching Wedding Gift
The day after confirming his wedding on Twitter, Jean Todt shared a photo of a ‘touching wedding gift’ he and his newly-minted wife, Michelle Yeoh, received from Barbara Broccoli. It was a framed photo made to resemble a promotional poster for a film and customized to commemorate the couple’s special day.
The poster was themed after 007: Tomorrow Never Dies – the 18th film in the James Bond series, which saw Michelle Yeoh star as Wai Lin. It’s a special film in that it marked the Hollywood debut for Yeoh, but the poster was edited to read ‘Love Never Dies’ and included a photo of Yeoh and Todt on a motorcycle.
Yeoh has come a long way since that 1997 film and has earned dozens of roles in various films and TV shows – including four films in 2022. That list includes Everything Everywhere All at Once, Minions: The Rise of Gru (voice), Minions: The Rise of Gru (voice), and Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank.
