Mike Sorrentino and Wife, Lauren, Welcome Second Child – a Daughter Named Mia Bella

There’s a major situation happening in the Sorrentino household, but it’s a good one as Mike Sorrentino – also known as ‘The Situation’ – and his wife, Lauren, welcome their second child into the family. Already parents to a wonderful 21-month-old son, the couple are now parents to an adorable newborn daughter. 

Mike Sorrentino took to Instagram on January 25th to celebrate the birth of his newest child, Mia Bella Elizabeth Sorrentino – don’t worry, he shared pictures and, yes, she’s the cutest. Mia Bella was born a healthy girl at 8:22 a.m. on January 24th – she weighed 5 pounds 15 ounces and measured 18 inches. 

“We got an amazing Situation????!! We are beyond over joyed to welcome our little girl into this world to join our growing family of 4 ????‍????‍????‍????,” he wrote in the Instagram caption. The comments were flooded with red heart emojis, congratulations, and well wishes as they embark on a new, exciting chapter in their life.

The initial gender announcement came in November when the couple shared a joint Instagram post with photos of Mike Sorrentino with his hand over his wife’s baby bump. “ITS OFFICIAL, We have a Situation ???? it’s a GIRL ???? Coming January 2023????#girldad,” the former Jersey Shore star wrote in the caption. 

Lauren Sorrentino opened up about keeping the pregnancy private as long as possible. “There are very few things in life that you get to keep as a special surprise, for some people. I think it’s only a matter of time before we do share it publicly, but we’re super excited,” she said to PEOPLE in September 2022.

Just six days ago, Mike Sorrentino posted a photo of him holding his toddler son, Romeo Reign – who is now an older brother. Romeo was born a rainbow baby on May 26, 2021 – he’s turning 2 years old in a few months – after the couple suffered a miscarriage seven weeks into their November 2019 pregnancy. 

“Of all the titles I’ve been privileged to have, “Dad” has always been the best,” Sorrentino wrote in his brief, yet touching Instagram caption. His wife, Lauren, commented ‘My sweet boy ????♥️” on the post. Sorrentino is enjoying his new role as a father and is happy to now have a healthy family of four. 

Mike Sorrentino Has Completely Changed His Life Around – for the Better!

Mike Sorrentino has come a long way from being a party animal to a loving and devoted father of two. In March 2012, he admitted to having a prescription medication addiction – more specifically, oxycodone. A few weeks later, he entered rehab and began his stay at the Cirque Lodge treatment center in Utah. 

According to Sorrentino, he has been sober since December 2015 – he celebrated his 7 years of sobriety in an Instagram post on Christmas Day. “Merry Christmas Everyone ???????? also my official 7 year Soberversary ????‼️” he wrote in the caption, adding the hashtag #grateful and several photos of his family.

It’s not just his past addiction that he continues to overcome. In 2014, he and his brother were indicted after failing to pay taxes between 2010-2012, which amounted to nearly $9 million in income. He pled guilty to tax evasion and was sentenced to eight months in prison – which he completed in 2019.

“I was a young kid with a good heart, but I was making all the wrong choices, and eventually, after trial and error and more trial and error, I realized that I had an obsessive personality.
