Mila Kunis And Ashton Kutcher Proudly Admit They Don’t Bathe Their Kids Everyday

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher aren’t too strict with their kids when it comes to bathing.

The married couple, who share daughter Wyatt Isabelle, 6, and son Dimitri Portwood, 4, admitted during an appearance on the Armchair Expert podcast how they don’t think it’s necessary to bathe their children with soap every day.

Cleanliness came up when co-hosts Dax Shepard and Monica Padman began revealing how frequently they shower. When Shepard, 46, urged that Padman, 33, “should not be getting rid of the natural oil on your skin with a bar of soap every day” and instead only wash with water, Kunis, 37, and Kutcher, 43, agreed.

“I can’t believe I am in the minority here of washing my whole body in the shower. Who taught you to not wash?” Padman asked, to which Kunis replied, “I didn’t have hot water growing up as a child, so I didn’t shower much anyway.”

“But when I had children, I also didn’t wash them every day,” Kunis continued. “I wasn’t that parent that bathed my newborns — ever.”

Shepard then admitted how he and wife Kristen Bell used to bathe daughters Lincoln, 8, and Delta, 6, every day as “part of a nighttime routine,” but stopped as the kids grew older.

“That’s how we feel about our children,” Kunis said. Kutcher added, “Now, here’s the thing: If you can see the dirt on them, clean them. Otherwise, there’s no point.”

When it comes to their own hygiene, Kunis and Kutcher revealed they don’t use soap on their entire bodies, every day.

“I wash my armpits and my crotch daily, and nothing else ever,” Kutcher said, “I got a bar of Lever 2000 that delivers every time. Nothing else.”

And while the pair may not believe in baths every day, they are serious when it comes to their faces.

“I do have a tendency to throw some water on my face after a workout to get all the salts out,” Kutcher revealed. Kunis said, “I do wash my face twice a day.”

Speaking of other practices that are out of this world, it seemed the couple’s kiddos had a hand in their most recent travel plans too. Kutcher recently admitted how his wife talked him out of becoming one of the first scheduled travelers to go to space on a Virgin Galactic flight.

Richard Branson, Virgin Galactic founder, made a successful journey along with his crowd to suborbital space earlier this month.

“When I got married and had kids, my wife basically encouraged that it was not a smart family decision to be heading into space when we have young children,” he revealed to financial news network Cheddar News. “So I ended up selling my ticket back to Virgin Galactic.”

According to Branson’s Blog, Kutcher, 43, first bought his ticket for $200,000 back in 2012, according to a Reuters report. But at that time, Kutcher married Kunis in 2015 and had two children, so life looks very different now.
