Milla Jovovich is officially a mom times three! The Resident Evil star and her husband Paul W.S. Anderson welcomed another daughter into the world on February 2.
Jovovich’s eldest daughter, 12-year-old Ever Gabo Anderson shared the exciting news on her Instagram account, posting a sweet pic of her mom snuggling with her baby sister. Anderson, Ever, and Ever’s younger sister, 4-year-old Dashiel Edan Anderson are all featured in the photo as well.
“Welcome to the world my new sister Osian (pronounced O-shun like the body of water)! We love you!!!,” the big sister wrote. Jovovich later followed up with a post of her own, noting that she had no idea Ever was going to beat to the finish line.
Milla Jovovich Announcing Birth of Third Daughter After Oldest Child Beat Her to It
“So without my knowledge, Ever spilled the beans on the new baby yesterday which makes this ‘old news,’ the mom of three girls wrote in the caption. “But anyway, yesterday morning at 8:56 a.m. Osian Lark Elliot Jovovich-Anderson was born!”
Jovovich then went on to share the meaning behind her youngest’s unique name. “Osian is a Welsh boy’s name and it’s pronounced O-shin.” She continued:
“Now I know the name is long, but the family couldn’t agree on her middle name. Ever and my mom wanted Lark, Dashiel and I wanted Elliot. Then my husband Paul chimes in with another vote for Lark, so Smushy and I were outnumbered!
Jovovich later joked, “At least she has many to choose from later in life if she wants to drop a few.”
Jovovich continued, “She’s so beautiful! Her hair is lighter than the other girls’ was and she’s very strong. Her little hands get in the way and they’re hard to control and she’s already lifting her head up to see what’s going on! She’s our miracle baby and we’re so grateful to have her and completely obsessed with her!”
In 2017, Jovovich had an emergency abortion at four-and-a-half months pregnant after going into preterm labor. According to People, she opened up about the traumatic experience in May 2019 before sharing the news of her “rainbow” baby two months later.
The proud mom took to Instagram days after Osian’s birth and shared a series of photos from her first two pregnancies as well. She wrote, in part, “From 2007 to 2020, it’s amazing to watch our little family grow.” Congratulations to the happy family!
When I’m not hanging out with my three-year-old and husband in Brooklyn, I’m busy writing stories for Mamas Uncut and managing PR + Marketing for Magnolia Bakery, based in New York City. On weekends, you can usually find me at a local park or playground pushing my daughter on the swings, “researching” the best almond croissants in Park Slope or launching into impromptu family dance parties at home, the sidewalk or, every once in awhile, a restaurant bathroom. I’m still trying to master the whole parenting thing, but I have learned that copious amounts of coffee, humor and humility are involved on a daily basis.
Mamas Uncut is the place for moms online. We cover the latest news around motherhood and parenting, plus entertainment news as well – all with a mom-focused twist. Looking for parenting advice? We have plenty of it, all for moms, from moms. Our mission is focused solely on empowering moms and moms-to-be with the knowledge and answers they’re looking for.
