It’s always nice – and often unexpected – when exes publicly praise their former partner’s new relationship. Miranda Kerr, though, has taken the high road and recently voiced her approval of her ex Orlando Bloom’s relationship with Katy Perry.
Kerr was recently on The Drew Barrymore Show where she dished about her close relationship with her Bloom. The former couple co-parent their son Flynn, 9.

“I adore Katy and I just feel so happy that Orlando has found someone that makes his heart so happy,” she told Barrymore. “Because at the end of the day, for Flynn to have a happy father and a happy mother is just the most important thing.”
Bloom and Perry welcomed Daisy Dove Bloom in August, while Kerr has had two children with husband Evan Spiegel. Kerr spoke candidly on the show about how they’ve created a blended family, always working to do “what’s best for Flynn.”
“I’m just so grateful that Orlando and Katy found each other, and I’m so grateful that I found my incredible husband and just that we all really respect each other,” Kerr said. “When it comes to special occasions, when we have to be together, we work it out so we have compromises [about] what is best for our whole family.”
It sounds like this is one family get together that won’t get awkward this holiday season!
When I’m not hanging out with my three-year-old and husband in Brooklyn, I’m busy writing stories for Mamas Uncut and managing PR + Marketing for Magnolia Bakery, based in New York City. On weekends, you can usually find me at a local park or playground pushing my daughter on the swings, “researching” the best almond croissants in Park Slope or launching into impromptu family dance parties at home, the sidewalk or, every once in awhile, a restaurant bathroom. I’m still trying to master the whole parenting thing, but I have learned that copious amounts of coffee, humor and humility are involved on a daily basis.
Mamas Uncut is THE online place for moms. We cover the latest about motherhood, parenting, and entertainment as well – all with a mom-focused twist. So if you're looking for parenting advice from real parents, we have plenty of it, all for moms from moms, and also experts.
