Mom Crafts ‘Reschedule’ Letter From Santa For Parents Who Work On Christmas

One mom has crafted a very special letter for kids whose parents have to work on Christmas in a sweet and clever way.

Stephanie Davisson shared that she first created the clever letter due to her husband, Brent Davisson. Brent is in the Army and as a result, sometimes cannot be home on Christmas Day.

“This year, he was scheduled for Christmas duty, so we decided that rather than risk Christmas morning without dad, we would just reschedule Christmas,” Davisson said. “My oldest is 8, and I want to keep the magic alive for him as long as I possibly can. He’s a very logical kid and I knew an ‘official’ letter from Santa, with boxes to check, would do the trick for him.”

Davisson, who shares two boys with her husband, posted a photo of the “100 percent certified, Elf-approved” letter on Facebook, where it has since gone viral.

The letter reads: “A jolly greeting to you from the North Pole! Christmas is fast approaching, and we’re all hard at work
preparing for the big night! You surely know that every December 25th I visit children around the world, spreading holiday cheer. But did you know I make other, special trips for children just like you?”

“I’ve only sent this message to a special group of kids around the world- the kids of military members and first responders. I know sometimes your mom or dad can’t be home on Christmas Day because they’re working- keeping us safe and healthy. Christmas is about family, and even though your mom or dad will be working hard on the 25th, I want your whole family to have a very special Christmas morning- together.”

“With that in mind, my elves have helped me set up a few special deliveries just for you. Always remember, Christmas isn’t about a box on the calendar, but the feeling we keep in our hearts. Thank you for being such great children, and sharing your moms and dads with us all when we need them the most.”

Davisson was blown away by the response and gave her fans, friends and followers a warm thank you for their attention.

“Thank you to everyone who has commented here….I have added a few extra links, including hospital personnel, pilots, divorced families, and “general use,” which I hope will help many of you. Please DO share far and wide, and print them for your kids and those you know would benefit; I’m so glad to be able to bless your family with this.”
