When it’s time for a mom to take a shower, it can sometimes be difficult to find the right moment to slip away from their children.
However, as one Cedar Rapids, Iowa mom explained, she thought she had everything under control when she put her 2-year-old son in front of the television to watch Peppa Pig for 20 minutes while she grabbed a quick one.
As Jeni revealed in the comments section, she “just wanted to wash her hair,” but “Dax had other plans.”
As soon as Jeni Boysen got out of the shower, she checked on her son, Dax, to make sure he was still doing okay. And as far as she could tell, he was exactly as she left him. But then she received a text message that revealed Dax was up to no good while she was in the shower.
Mom Who Just Wanted to Wash Her Hair, Gets Text From Neighbor That Her Son Had Other Plans
The text was from one of their neighbors. It read, “Your kid is naked in your window.” Then Jeni received photographic evidence. (Warning: The below photo contains language that could be offensive to some.)
What Jeni didn’t realize was that when she checked on her son after getting out of the shower, Dax had stripped himself of his diaper and decided to check out what was going on in the world around him.
And as the picture showed, Dax—completely diaper-less—had taken it upon himself to stand on the window seal of a second-story window and do a little bit of people-watching. However, he was caught in the act.
As the text exchange continued, the neighbor told Jeni that they just had to send her a photo. “I’ve deleted it. But I looked up when I got home and he was there.” Jeni admitted that she found the whole ordeal pretty funny.
After taking to Facebook to share a screenshot of the text exchange, Jeni wrote, “Ya know, sometimes you think you’re doing okay at life and then you get a message like this from a neighbor. I just cried I laughed so hard. This is exactly the laughter I needed tonight.”
It reportedly gave her neighbor a good laugh too. Jeni told Popsugar that her neighbor “had such a bad day and it just made her laugh so hard.” And with over 154,000 shares, it can safely be assumed that it was the laughter a lot of people needed that night.
