Mom Jen Petraitis never anticipated such a dramatic turn of events after the birth of her twins. Just days after giving birth to the boy and girl, the Ohio mom-of-four was rushed back to the hospital after having a heart attack and collapsing.
Jen’s husband, Ryan, found her on their bedroom floor and realized quickly that she wasn’t breathing. He immediately went to work to save her life. “At that point, I started CPR, chest compressions and called 911,” said Ryan.

“The ambulance driver told me that he was praying for us and said it was very serious,” the dad added.
Jen had suffered a spontaneous coronary artery dissection and underwent emergency triple bypass open heart surgery at Summa Akron City Hospital.
The miraculous mama is now recovering at home and credits medical professionals for saving her life and the community for keeping her strong. “There were a lot of prayer chains going on, a lot of texts and messages, and that’s why I’m here,” she told ABC 5.
“Any time I’m feeling down about some pain that I’m having or just not being able to be 100% myself, I’m here for them,” the mom spoke about showing up for her children to WEWS. “That’s all that matters.”
