The New Jersey man who abused his own 6-year-old son has been indicted for murdering that little boy.
The court ruling was announced by Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer.
Christopher Gregor‘s actions were highlighted in an affidavit which revealed that he and his son Corey were in the gym of a clubhouse within the housing complex in Barnegat last year. While Corey was on the treadmill, Christopher kept increasing the speed until Corey fell off.

While Corey was on the floor, Christopher allegedly then began trying to bite his head and get him back on the equipment making Corey continue to run until he falls off and then doing that again and again.
The little boy died at Southern Ocean Medical Center in Manahawkin prompting the response of Stafford Police on April 2, 2021. The Ocean County Medical Examiner performed an autopsy the following day and determined that Corey suffered injuries from blunt force trauma.

Detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Squad and Barnegat Police picked up on the investigation and found evidence that proved Gregor was guilty of child abuse.
Prosecutor Billhimer said that the OCPO received a report from the State’s expert witness who explained that Corey died from blunt force trauma to the chest and abdomen and ruled his death a homicide.
The OCPO-MCU, OCSO-CSIU, and Barnegat Police confirmed as well through their investigation that Gregor had Corey in his custody at the time and that he was responsible for the death.
Gregor was then arrested and charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child on July 7, 2021, and brought to the Ocean County Jail, but then had to be released because of New Jersey’s Bail Reform Law.
On March 9, Gregor was arrested by Detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force, Sea Bright Police Department, and Barnegat Township Police Department and brought to the Ocean County Jail where he has remained ever since.
Gregor was indicted by a Grand Jury sitting in Ocean County on the charge of Murder and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, on Tuesday. Prosecutor Billhimer also revealed that Ocean County Supervising Assistant Prosecutor Christine Lento presented the case to the Grand Jury on behalf of the State.
