Nick Cannon Calls Himself a ‘Seahorse’ After Purposely Having 4 Children in 1 Year

On Father’s Day, it was reported that actor, comedian, and host, Nick Cannon, welcomed his fourth child this year into the world. With the birth of that child, Cannon is now a father of seven.

According to The Root, Cannon is revealing that each of his seven children was planned. During an interview with City Girls rappers, JT and Yung Miami on his Power 106 Los Angeles radio show, JT told Cannon to “wrap it up. As in wrap it up and protect yourself,” after learning that Cannon has welcomed four children with different women in just one year.

However, Nick Cannon made a shocking statement when he admitted that every child that he has fathered this year was planned. “I’m having these kids on purpose,” Cannon told City Girls.

“I didn’t have no accident. Trust me, there’s a lot of people that I could’ve gotten pregnant that I didn’t. The ones that got pregnant are the ones that were supposed to get pregnant.”

“Hey, if you’re having these kids on purpose then there is nothing I can tell you about your life, cause I don’t want nobody telling me sh*t. So just be the best you,” JT responded to Cannon’s approval.

In the same interview, Cannon also likened himself to a “seahorse.” “I’m like a seahorse out here,” he explained. “That’s just the way I’m procreating.”

That’s when Yung Miami responded by saying, “I say YOLO,” which is an acronym for, “you only live once.” Hey, there are no laws against how many kids you father, but we hope Cannon finds the time to be in each of their lives.

As The Root further reports, here is a list of Nick Cannon’s children and their mothers from youngest to oldest:

  • A daughter, Zen S. Cannon, whom he shared with model Alyssa Scott.
  • His second set of twins, Zillion Heir and Zion Mixolydian, whom he shared with Abby De La Rosa.
  • A daughter Powerful Queen and a son Golden Sagon, whom he shared with Britany Bell.
  • And his oldest children, and first set of twins, Moroccan and Monroe, whom he shares with singer Mariah Carey.

Nick Cannon isn’t very open about his role as a dad of seven as he only rarely shares photos and videos of his kiddos on social media. However, now that he has been able to speak his peace on the way he is choosing to grow his family, maybe he will be more open!
