Monday was supposed to be a day spent celebrating the Jonas Brothers as they received their star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame, but it was Nick Jonas’ one-year-old daughter – Malti Marie – who stole the show with what was her first public appearance. She was seen with her momma, Priyanka Chopra.
Malti Marie has made a number of appearances on social media over the past year – even appearing in a photoshoot by Vogue a few weeks ago – but her face has always been hidden or turned from the camera. On Monday, she was posted up front and center as she sat on mommy’s lap and watched her daddy.
Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra started dating in May 2018 and they got engaged a few months later. They didn’t wait long before having a lavish wedding in December 2018 and the two secretly welcomed a baby girl (Malti Marie) in January 2022 via a surrogate. The baby girl turned 1 years old earlier this month.
Nick Jonas was joined by his brothers, Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas, who were also joined by their wives and children. Each of the three brothers took a turn at the mic to share their gratitude – not just for the star and subsequent ceremony, but for the support they receive from friends, colleagues, fans, and family.
During his speech, Nick expressed how much he loves being married to Chopra Jones and loves being a parent with her. He then shared a funny message for his daughter. “Malti Marie,” he said, waving to his daughter. “I can’t wait to come back here in 15 years and embarrass you in front of your friends.”
Priyanka shared the moment on her Instagram – posting a photo of the three brothers in front of their new star, along with a video of his funny message to his daughter (on the second slide). “So proud of you my love! Congratulations @jonasbrothers ❤️” she wrote in the caption. Nick responded with a heart emoji.
The Jonas Brothers, who became the 2,745th celebrity honored with a star, joined a long list of celebrities to receive a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame recently – a list that now includes Michael Strahan, Billy Idol, Octavia Spencer, Billy Porter, and Christina Applegate. All of which are well-deserving of it.
Nick Jonas Announces New Jonas Brothers’ Album & Tour
As if the Walk of Fame induction and baby Malti Marie making her first public appearance – with those adorably-chubby cheeks! – wasn’t enough, Joe, Kevin, and Nick Jonas had one other announcement for all their fans. The band is releasing a new album, titled The Album, on May 5th – mark your calendars!
Not only that, but Nick Jonas added – “And we can’t wait to see you all on tour later this year.” Yup, there you have it, fans will get to see the Jonas Brothers perform their new album, along with some classics, on tour later this year. And if Joe Jonas’ Instagram is any indication of what’s to come, the new music is fire!
Joe took to his Instagram on January 29th to share a snippet of the band’s new song ‘Wings.’ “Guys, we got the mix of our new song ‘Wings’ and, um, I don’t care, I just want you to hear it,” he says before walking into the studio, where he and his brothers are seen hyping the song up. It sounds good!
