It’s official, Nicki Minaj has confirmed that she is pregnant with her first child after teasing her fans about it for months. As Mamas Uncut previously reported, back in May, Minaj opened up about how she was doing in quarantine as she was expecting her first child.
Although she never confirmed she had a bun in the oven, Minaj opened up about what she’s been cooking while in quarantine. And soon after that, a sneaky fan then asked the rapper if she’s also been “throwing up in the mornings and having to go to the bathroom a lot?”

“Lmao. No throwing up. But nausea and peeing nonstop. Omg, what do u think this means guys???? Lmaooooooooooo,” she teased with her fans. However, the entertainer really had her fans in a tizzy when someone asked if they could see a picture of her baby bump.
“Yea in a couple months. The world ain’t ready yet,” Minaj responded back.
Well a little over a month later, the mom-to-be is keeping true to her word. On July 20, the rapper took to her Instagram account to shared several stunning images of her growing bump.

“Love. Marriage. Baby carriage. Overflowing with excitement and gratitude. Thank you all for the well wishes,” the expectant new mom wrote.
“And finally, the Virgin Mary by #DavidLaChapelle.”
It remains unclear how far along Nicki Minaj is in her pregnancy or when her little one will make his or her way into the world. Although she hasn’t been hush, hush during these last several months, she has been very cryptic. Who knows if she’ll open up more about the details of her pregnancy now that it has been confirmed.
Minaj is expecting her first child with her husband Kenneth Petty, whom she married in October 2019. And it can only be imagined how excited her mom, Carol Maraj, is after learning about her daughter’s big news.
Maraj once told The Shade Room that she’s anxiously awaiting the day her daughter tells her she’s pregnant. “I’m very happy that she got married. Her biological clock is ticking and it’s about time she got married and gave me some grandchildren. So I’m very happy.”
