North West Reveals What She Wants to Be When She Grows Up While On Stage With Katy Perry

On April 15, Kim Kardashian treated her eldest daughter, North West, to a night out at Katy Perry’s concert residency PLAY in Las Vegas. The mother-daughter duo are big fans of the 38-year-old singer, who allowed North West the opportunity to join her on-stage in the middle of her PLAY performance.

Taking center stage, Katy introduced North to the crowd (receiving a big applause, in the process) before telling the 9-year-old she’s a very big fan of her TikTok account – which is managed by Kim. Katy admits she has seen some of her videos and compliments her dancing – referencing all the trends North does.

“You’re a really good dancer and I thought, what better way to be a great dancer as to show the world your awesome dance moves,” Katy said to North, who replied with a question: “Can my friends come out with me?” After a brief pause, Katy allows it. “Yeah, why not, come on,” she says, much to North’s delight.

With her friends now on-stage with her, Katy Perry asks her new friend, North West, how old she was. After learning she’s only nine years old, Katy recalled the moment she found her ‘spark’ as a singer – which happened when she started singing at nine years old. That set her down the path she’s on now.

To learn a little bit more about North, Katy asked her what she wants to be when she grows up and her response was perfect. “Uh, everything,” North said as Katy walked away in shock. Well, there you have it folks… North West isn’t limiting herself to any one thing – in fact, she’s doing the exact opposite of that!

Her mother, Kim Kardashian, took to her Instagram Story to post a clip of her daughter’s interaction with Katy. “Dreams do come true. And wait for her answer… what she wants to be when she grows up,” she wrote in a text overlay, tagging her friend, Katy, in the Story. I guess it pays to have friends in high places!

Kim shares North West with hip-hop artist Kanye West, along with their three other children – Saint West, 7, Chicago West, 5, and Psalm West, 3. The former couple started dating in 2012, became engaged in 2013, and tied the knot on May 24, 2014 – roughly one year after they welcomed their first child, North.

North West Enjoyed a Lavish and Memorable Trip to Vegas

Getting to meet Katy Perry and dance with her friends on stage is enough to make April 15 a night to remember for North West – one that can be credited to her mother’s relationship with the singer. The memorable night started with a pre-show party for her daughter and her friends on Kim’s private jet.

When the show ended, North West was welcomed backstage to interact with Katy Perry once more and even get a few autographs as a memento. Of course, North wasn’t the only one who had an opportunity to spend some time with the ‘Firework’ singer – Kim had a chance to say hello to her friend as well!

“Honestly, I’m the biggest Katy Perry fan. I’m not just saying that because you’re here,” Kim said in an Instagram video posted to Katy’s account. Katy went on to ask the SKIMS founder if she can finally be a sister, to which Kim agreed and joked that they don’t even need to change her first initial – K.

Katy Perry was also joined by fellow artists Sia and Paris Hilton. Sia wore a cape-like outfit that featured Katy Perry on the back, while Paris was asked to describe her show in two words – she replied, “That’s hot,” referencing her famous line. It was a fun night filled with a lot of laughs and a lot of memories.
