Pamela Anderson admits she’s not surprised Tim Allen denied ever flashing her when they worked together on the set of Home Improvement.
According to BuzzFeed News, in an interview with ET Canada, Pamela talked about the flashing incident in more detail. “It was the first day of filming, and I was in my dressing room, and I came out, and then he came out of his dressing room, and he had this robe on, and he goes [mimics opening robe]. And then he closes it, and he goes, ‘Now we’re even — I’ve seen you naked, you’ve seen me naked. Now we can start the show.’”
Pamela Anderson Reveals Why She Told the World Tim Allen Flashed Her
Anderson continued, questioning, “How could you make that up?” She went on to say she remembers Allen acting with remorse before running back into his room.
“He was embarrassed all day and acting like a little giddy schoolboy,” the actress added. She then went on to address Tim Allen, denying the allegations twice.
Anderson admitted that she was not surprised. “He has to deny it because look at the times we’re in,” she said. “If he said, ‘Oh yeah, I did that…’ he’d be — A lot of these stories are just the tip of the iceberg.”
Pamela admitted that despite knowing he would deny the claim, she shared it only as an example of what she went through and how she was treated during her career. Home Improvement, as previously reported, was her first acting job.
“I only talked about really pivotal moments to try get across that some of these things had happened, you know, in my childhood, my career. And I kind of wanted to sprinkle in some of these things.”
As Mamas Uncut previously reported, Tim Allen has already spoken out about the allegations twice. As it is known in her memoir, Pamela talks about one of her first major TV roles, where she played Lisa the Tool Time Girl on the hit sitcom starring Tim Allen.
While recalling her time on set, Anderson revealed that it was her “first real taste of major fame.”
Anderson claimed that on her first day on the Home Improvement set, she “walked out of my dressing room, and Tim was in the hallway in his robe. He opened his robe and flashed me quickly — completely naked underneath.”
Anderson continued, writing, “He said it was only fair because he had seen me naked. Now we’re even. I laughed uncomfortably.” Anderson was reportedly just 23 years old at the time.
The shocking revelation had many people accosting Tim Allen for such crude behavior. And Allen quickly spoke out with a short statement of his own.
In the statement issued by a representative for Allen, Marleah Leslie, Allen denied the accusation, USA Today reports. “No, it never happened. I would never do such a thing.”
Now, Tim Allen is speaking out again.
After Allen initially denied ever flashing Pamela Anderson, Anderson doubled down on her claim calling it “just one of the many surreal and uncomfortable situations” she had to endure during her career to Vanity Fair. However, she went on to say that she has “no ill will” toward Allen.
Then, in a second interview with Variety, Anderson addressed the alleged flashing situation again, saying, “Tim is a comedian; it’s his job to cross the line. I’m sure he had no bad intentions. Times have changed, though. I doubt anyone would try that post #MeToo. It’s a new world.”
Now, while talking with Daily Mail, Allen addressed the allegations again, saying, “She was a great co-worker, I’ll tell you that. She’s a fun girl. Everybody loved her.”
“Everybody at ABC is a little disappointed in her…memory, put it that way,” Allen continued. “All of us at Disney/ABC, really.”
He then concluded his new statement by calling Anderson a “good girl” with a “weird memory.”
Shortly after Pamela Anderson claimed that legendary actor Tim Allen flashed her on her first day on the set of Home Improvement, a video of Allen flashing a co-star went viral again.
The video is part of one of Home Improvement’s blooper reels. It’s from an episode of the show in which Allen’s character wears a kilt. As TMZ reports, the scene is between Allen and Patricia Richardson, who played Allen’s wife on the show.
In the scene, while Allen is wearing the kilt, Patricia’s character says the line, “Hangs long, I just wish it was shorter.” That’s when Allen lifted up the kilt, flashing his co-star, who is seemingly shocked by Allen’s actions.
However, in a statement given to TMZ, Patricia says that she didn’t see anything because Allen was fully dressed under the kilt.
“People ask me what was under the kilt when he flashed me. He was well dressed under there. I was just shocked that he lifted the kilt, not by a man in boxer shorts,” she told TMZ. Patricia didn’t comment on Anderson’s allegations.
Love, Pamela, and the adjacent documentary were released on January 31.
