Ghost Pepper Donut – Dunkin’ Has A Spicy Side
The spicy ghost pepper donut looks innocent and pretty – pink icing with sparkling pink sprinkles. But it packs some heat with a blend of cayenne and ghost pepper spices, balanced with sweet strawberry frosting on a classic plain donut ring.
The brand is encouraging fans to show their spicy side on social media by surprising their friends with the spicy donut and sharing it on social media, using the hashtag #DunkinSpicySide.
Kids Give Ghost Pepper Donut A Try
Some parents are tricking their kids into trying the spicy donut. Unsuspecting children think it’s a strawberry or cherry flavor, until the spice kicks in a few seconds after eating it. And some adventurous kids are aware they are trying a spicy treat, and they have great reactions too!
Ghost Pepper Donut Chokes Up Social Media
But most users are posting videos with their reactions to trying the spicy donut for the first time, and they are getting a bit choked up while trying to describe it!
Other users are thinking it’s likable, but if you are into spicy things, it doesn’t have that much spice. For all you Hot Ones fans, there is a spicy Dunkin’ collaboration with the popular Complex First We Feast show. Hot Ones host and spicy food expert, Sean Evans, will be in the hot seat for the first time, answering questions and trying the Spicy Ghost Pepper Donut, complimented by a range of hot sauces in typical Hot Ones fashion. You can watch the episode on the Complex site or YouTube channel, starting on October 19th.
