Days after Patrick Mahomes Sr. was arrested again, his son NFL superstar Patrick Mahomes is speaking out.
While participating in the media portion of Super Bowl week, Mahomes was asked about his dad’s latest DWI arrest. Although, he didn’t say much, Patrick told reporters, “He’s doing good.”
“I don’t really want to get into it too much, but he’s doing good for whatever the situation is. It’s a family matter. I’ll just keep it to the family, and that’s all I really have to say at this point.”
According to TMZ, this is at least the third time Patrick Mahomes Sr. has been arrested for a DWI.
As TMZ reports, the elder Mahomes was arrested on Saturday night in Texas. Mahomes posted his $10,000 bail the following day.
This is at least Mahomes third DWI arrest, TMZ reports. The 53-year-old was arrested “in 2019 for DWI second or more,” and was sentenced to 40 days in jail.
Mahomes Sr. is often seen rooting on his son from the luxury box. Now it is unclear how this arrest will affect his ability to see his son play in his fourth Super Bowl, which is set to take place on February 11.
