This is the one where a really talented photographer used newborns to recreate some of the most iconic scenes from the mega-popular television show Friends. Although the sitcom first aired in the 90s and later ended after 10 seasons in 2005, Friends has stood the test of time.
And while the show may no longer be streaming on Netflix, Mandy Penn, of Mandy Penn Photography, used her talents and her love of the show to create the most amazing newborn photoshoot possibly ever. On March 18, Penn took to her blog where she explained how she decided to do a Friends-themed photoshoot with infant babies.

“In lieu of this situation the world is in, I wanted to shed some light and laughs for my fellow Friends addicts and fans out there. I have a friend who recently had twin girls, and like me, she is a huge Friends fan,” Penn wrote on her blog. “So we started talking and thought it would be super fun to do something Friends themed. Well, if you know me at all you know I am what we like to call ‘extra.’ So the obvious choice was to do a model call once the twins were born for four other babies…you can see where this is going.”
And so with the help of some of her own friends, Penn was able to create a newborn photoshoot that, as Penn wrote, couldn’t BE any cuter. Let’s take a look:
Here we have Chandler, who would be more than happy to offer you a sarcastic comment.
And Monica has all the supplies needed to give your home a quick, err we mean thorough, cleaning.
This is Ross with his leather pants, baby powder, and his beloved monkey, Marcel.
Then we have Rachel in her cheerleading uniform, but we’d advise you not to eat her Thanksgiving Trifle if she offers you any.
And this is Joey, wearing everything Chandler owns. We mean, really, could he BE wearing any more clothes?
And last but not least this is Smelly Cat. Actually, we mean this is Phoebe playing her smash hit Smelly Cat on her beloved guitar.
In an interview with CafeMom, Penn said, “I searched everywhere for something remotely close to the Friends couch, and the closest thing was a brown couch.” And that’s when she enlisted her friend, Danielle Shunk, who owns the furniture and home design business Sincerely Danielle Shunk. She made the couch from scratch.

Penn also took on what could possibly be the most romantic quote from the show, “He’s Her Lobster.”

And let’s not forget the episode when Monica, Rachel, and Phoebe put on wedding dresses to indulge in a little beer and pizza.
Friends may no longer be there for you to stream insistently, but at least now we have these adorable photos for when it’s like you’re always stuck in second gear.
