As pop star Pink concluded her Summer Carnival Tour, she is issuing an apology.
In a statement and video shared on Instagram, Pink revealed she had been performing her concert with a torn bicep.
As a result, there have been a few tour stops, four to be exact, she had to cancel.
“This is a LOVE LETTER and an apology to those who had tickets to the shows I’ve cancelled,” she began her written statement. “You deserve to be acknowledged and seen and cared for. I always try to be honest and transparent so here it is.”

In the video she shared alongside her written statement, addressing those who had tickets to her cancelled shows. “I am so, so deeply sorry that I will not be able to make those shows up.”
In addition to her torn bicep, Pink also suffered two torn meniscus, one in each knee.
As a result, the singer said she is scheduled to have surgery in a week on her shoulder. And then in 9 weeks, she will have surgery on her knee.
“I’m going to be the bionic woman. I’m going to come back stronger and harder than I’ve ever done because that’s what I do,” Pink told her fans.
“I’ve been in a lot of pain for many months,” she continued. “I’m going to slow down for a minute and take care of me.”
“At that moment,” Pink wrote, “I couldn’t lift my right arm anymore, I couldn’t sleep, and I needed to figure it out. Cortisone can only take you so far. I took a small rest- and then I finished this marathon.”
In her written statement, Pink assured those disappointed fans that “full refunds are being extended obviously.”
“Just know that I did my absolute damndest to make it to every city I signed up for. I always try to honor my commitments 1000%. I almost always make the mark, but that doesn’t mean much to a person that feels disappointed in me right now. I’m really sorry.”
Pink hopes that she can one day make it up to those people she disappointed.
“I am so in awe of how many beautiful people there are in this world. I’ve spent the last three years staring into your eyes and sharing our angst and fear and rage and joy and freedom. Now we go to work to make sure we can always celebrate exactly who we are.”
She then announced that she’ll take a brief social media hiatus while recovering from her surgery. “I told my family to take away my phone after anesthesia cause I ain’t gonna be no psycho viral mess!!!! Love to all the good ones! And prayers for the rest.”
In addition to Pink’s statement, her husband, former motorcycle racer Carey Hart took to Instagram to share videos of Pink sharing a stage with their son and daughter one last time on the tour.
“That’s a wrap!!!!!!!! Over 4 million tickets sold, and over 130 shows on wifey’s world tour. What a (expletive) run. Last show, Jamo made his drumming debut. Thanks (Brian Frasier-Moore)for not only being the baddest drummer in the game, but an epic teacher to Jamo this last few months.”
“Blown away by Willz,” Hart continued, “how she has evolved on this tour as a performer, singer, and what life will bring her on the stage.”
“And to the baddest performer in the game. You have pushed through injury, fatigue, home sickness, illness, mom-ing, and every other diversity you could imagine. I couldn’t be more proud of you. That’s a wrap,” Hart concluded.
