Prince Harry’s Name Change and Meghan Markle’s New Life

As many of you already know, the world made a collective gasp when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their decision to step down as senior members of the royal family.

A lot of things about Harry and Meghan’s daily lives changed when they ultimately made that decision. For instance, they now live in America and also, Prince Harry has also made a few changes to his name.

This article will explain the changes Prince Harry made to his moniker.

After marrying Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex made history by being the first American, biracial, and divorced woman to join the royal family.

And the new couple used that to their advantage, speaking their truth to the world and doing their best to make positive changes as they traveled the world fulfilling their royal duties.

And quickly, while Prince Harry was already a beloved member of the royal family, Meghan received much of that same love, at first.

For many months after their engagement, people rooted for Meghan.

But then, at some point, things started to change for the happily married couple who was expecting their first child together.

Soon, tabloids began to destroy Meghan’s character.

She was branded as “not royal enough,” “a diva,” and even “high-maintenance” by the people who worked at the palace. Rumors began to swirl about her relationship with Catherine Middleton and Prince William.

And when their son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, arrived, Meghan was attacked for her parenting style, despite only rarely bringing Archie out in public after his birth.

Based off of paparazzi photos, internet bullies began to criticize her for how she held her child, among other things.

And eventually, Meghan opened up about the trials of being a first-time mother and constantly being under one of the world’s brightest spotlights.

The Duchess talked about how “not many people have asked I’m OK” as she navigated being a mom and the pressures that come with being a member of the royal family.

I think the grass is always greener. You have no idea. It’s really hard to understand what it’s like. I know what it seems like it should be, but it’s a very different thing.

She went on to add, “I really tried to adopt this British sensibility of a ‘stiff upper lip.’ I really tried, but I think that what that does internally is probably really damaging.”

Eventually it all got to be too much and the couple made the decision that, because Prince Harry will most likely never be the King of England, that they would step down as senior members of the royal family.

After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution. We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen,” the couple said in a statement.

From their the couple found a home in California, where they started new.

It was believed that this would make things easier on the couple and allow Meghan to pursue other of her interest that conflicted with royal protocol.

Sadly, the transition wasn’t as seamless has they had hoped. And eventually, the couple stepped away altogether.

Now, Meghan and Prince Harry are seemingly feuding with many of members of Harry’s immediate family. Between multiple unfiltered interviews, both Meghan and Harry and other members of the royal family feel personally attacked by each other, or so reports have said.

However, despite some of the turmoil, Meghan and Harry seem to be settling in nicely. Prince Harry has taken on projects alongside Oprah and Meghan Markle has already worked with Disney.

And like they promised, it seems like the couple, who is expecting their second child soon, has been selective in the work they have chosen, work that will help create good in the world.

But as a result of all of this, it was revealed that Prince Harry has now dropped all of his Royal surnames, including His Royal Highness, Mountbatten-Windsor, and Wales, which he used while a member of the British Royal Army.

Now, he is simply Prince Henry Charles Albert David, Duke of Sussex.
