Rachel Zoe Defends Decision to Let Son Keep Long Hair Despite Bullying and Mom-Shaming

Our favorite fashionista Rachel Zoe has never been one to conform to the crowd, so it comes as no surprise that her son would be blazing his own trails.

Lately, the stylist and designer has found herself having to defend her 5-year-old son Kaius Jagger’s choice to have long locks.

Rachel Zoe on Why She Lets Her Son Keep His Long Hair

After coming up against criticism, the Zoe Report founder praised her son’s style during a conversation with People. “For the record, my son thinks he has cool surfer hair. At the end of the day, it’s not like I’m torturing him. He loves his hair. He thinks it’s cool.”

“A few days ago, someone said something like, ‘You know, Rachel, I think at this point your kids are old enough to where they’re going to start being made fun of for their long hair. You should really cut it and be nice to your sons.’ I responded with, ‘Please unfollow me.’”

Rachel, who is also mom to 8-year-old Skylar, has no time for the online mom-shaming as she launches her Pottery Barn kids and teen home collections.

“I think anyone who takes the time to insult someone’s child is pretty much a horrific human being.”

Can you blame her for loving those gorgeous curls? Obviously, he gets them from his mama.

We think Rachel Zoe’s son rocks long hair well, and we think it’s great she allows him to feel like himself. Hot tip: Sometimes boys have long hair! It’s pretty simple.
