Reba McEntire is speaking out after the rumor mill started spreading false allegations about her.
According to reports, a Facebook page called America Loves Liberty claimed that McEntire was upset with Taylor Swift’s behavior at the Super Bowl. You may recall, McEntire sang the National Anthem at the Super Bowl back in February.
The post by America Loves Liberty claimed, “Reba McIntire [sic] talks about how disappointed she was to look up at the big screen while performing The National Anthem, only to see Taylor Swift laughing and drinking and making a mockery of the event.”
The post went as far as to put words into McEntire mouth, saying McEntire called Swift a brat. “I let her have it afterward,” the post alleged McEntire said. “She’s an entitled little brat.”
Reba took to Instagram after the post started gaining attention. Reba screenshot the post, saying, “Please don’t believe everything you see on the Internet. I did not say this.”
“Taylor is a wonderful artist, strong role model and has done so much good for so many people and the music industry,” she continued.
Taylor herself has not responded to the made-up vitriol.
Commenters showed out in droves in support of Reba and Taylor. One commenter wrote, “Anyone who: 1- watched the game. Knows this isn’t true because they showed her during the performance and she was standing and respectfully holding her hand over her heart. 2. Reba wouldn’t be that unnecessarily confrontational and rude.”

Reba’s co-star Melissa Peterson also commented, writing, “They spelled your name McIntire. So made up story AND a lazy proofreader,” along with a laughing emoji.
Reba’s message is so important, you really can’t believe everything you read.
