Reese Witherspoon‘s eerily-similar-look-alike you ask? Her 20-year-old daughter, Ava Phillippe.
This past Tuesday, Witherspoon, 44, posted a photo of her daughter (whom she shares with ex Ryan Phillippe), admitting: “I know she’s my kid but I’m pretty much obsessed @avaphillippe ????” in the caption.
If you haven’t noticed already — Phillippe looks almost identical to her momma in the Instagram photo. Witherspoon’s friends, including Julianne Moore, Mindy Kaling and Kate Hudson, all complimented her teen in the comment section.
“Beautiful,” Moore wrote. “Me too,” Kaling added, while Hudson simply left a heart emoji.
While Austin Channing Brown commented: “I sincerely thought this was you! ????”
Earlier in the year, Witherspoon revealed to Emmy Magazine about motherhood and how she closely related to the book Little Fires Everywhere is based on.
“It’s so difficult to articulate what motherhood means, and there are so many passages in the novel that did,” the actress said right before reciting a passage of the Celeste Ng book.
“[One passage was about] training yourself to live on the smell of an apple alone, when what you really wanted was to devour it, to sink your teeth into it and consume it, seeds, core, and all.”
“It’s such a vivid way to describe the loss of your children as they grow up,” she added. “My daughter was applying for college back then, so it hit me like an arrow in the heart.”
And while Witherspoon is close with her kids, it doesn’t mean she doesn’t like to embarrass them (Ava, and sons Deacon, 16, and Tennessee James, 7) a bit.
“That’s basically my role. It’s our job, as parents, to really ramp up the embarrassment,” she joked in a virtual episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! earlier this month. “I just say if you’re not embarrassing your children, you’re not spending enough time with them.”
