We’ve seen Rihanna and A$AP Rocky break the internet before, but that doesn’t even begin to describe what we experienced on Tuesday (September 19). For those who decided to stay off social media today, you chose the wrong day because the world just got its first look at the couple’s growing family of four.
In a new photoshoot with celebrity photographer Miles Diggs – AKA ‘Diggzy’ – Rihanna and A$AP Rocky posed with their two sons for the first time (publicly, at least). They were all smiles as the couple took turns holding their 16-month-old son, RZA Athelston Mayers, and 1-month-old son, Riot Rose Mayers.
It’s our first look at Riot Rose, who was born in August 2023 – which is surprising, considering we had to wait seven months before getting our first look at RZA Athelston. Luckily for their fanbase, no one had to wait that long and we now get to see them as a family of four for the first time – the excitement is real!

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky Are Known for Subtle Surprises
The photoshoot comes less than two weeks after Rihanna and A$AP Rocky revealed their second baby’s name for the first time thanks to a birth certificate obtained by TMZ – which also revealed that his birthday is August 1. While we didn’t know the baby’s name up to that point, all signs were pointing to it being Riot.
On July 20, 2023 – a few weeks before Riot Rose was born – A$AP Rocky released a new single titled ‘RIOT (ROWDY PIPE’N).’ Rocky also made his commercial directorial debut in a Beats Studio Pro ad that featured the new single and also featured a look at his older son, RZA – who appeared on a diaper bag.
In the commercial, A$AP Rocky is in the studio when Rihanna asks if he can run to the store to pick up some diapers – a relatable moment for any parent. So, he puts his Beats Studio Pro headphones on and listens to his new single while he literally runs to the store – of course, fans were rushing in behind him.

He enters an ‘AWGE Bodega’ (a nod to his creative agency, AWGE) and runs to the back to grab some ‘AWGEY’S Diapers’ – which featured RZA modeling on the front of the package. He throws some cash on the counter and makes his way back to his home before heading back into the studio to make music.
