Ryan Dorsey Shares Touching Photo of Son Josey Dorsey Decorating for Christmas

Naya Rivera‘s ex Ryan Dorsey is trying to bring a bit of holiday cheer to his son Josey’s first Christmas without his mother.

The actor recently shared a sweet video of him and Josey driving home after picking out a Christmas tree. The duo were clearly having a great time while listening to some Christmas classics like Andy Williams’ “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of Year.”

The single dad followed-up with a still photo on Instagram of he and Josey putting the finishing touches on the Christmas tree. “#HappyHolidays to all. You, you, you, and even you, all of ya. Hope you get but happiness…Except you. I’m talking to you, 2020. #f***2020,” he captioned the photo.

Dorsey, Josey and their family continue to mourn the loss of Naya Rivera, who drowned in July. The 33-year-old was boating with Josey at the time of her death. Josey was safely on the boat during his mother’s tragic death.

Dorsey, who is now Josey’s legal guardian, has filed a wrongful death lawsuit since Naya’s passing. The Glee actress’ sister, Nickayla Rivera, is also currently living with Dorsey and Josey to help with childcare.

Dorsey has spoken about the importance of having family nearby while he and Jorsey mourn Naya.

“You know he’s so smart and you know he witnessed a nightmare right before his eyes,” he wrote at the time. “Then when you’re with him every day during this, with his grandpas, and his grandmas, and his aunts and his uncles, and his whole family, and all you have is each other to lean on and to cry with, and you go through this nightmare. It’s sad.”

For now, Dorsey is doing all he can to bring some brightness to a dark year for their family.
