Iconic actor Sylvester Stallone is defending himself against the accusations made by his estranged wife. As Mamas Uncut previously reported, Stallone’s wife of 25 years Jennifer Flavin accused Stallone of intentionally dissipating their marital assets.
In the divorce filings obtained by TMZ, Flavin accused her husband of moving assets away from the marital funds. “Upon information and belief, the Husband has engaged in the intentional dissipation, depletion and/or waste of marital assets which has had an adverse economic impact on the marital estate.”
As a result, Flavin asks for “unequal distribution of the marital assets in her favor.”

The documents further state that “the Husband should be enjoined from, selling, transferring, assigning, encumbering, or dissipating any assets during the pendency of these proceedings.” According to People, the couple is worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

Now, in new court records obtained by People, Stallone had denied this completely. “The husband has not engaged in any conduct which constitutes intentional dissipation, depletion and/or waste of marital assets,” Sylvester Stallone’s lawyers wrote.
People reports that the actor also opposed his wife’s request to have “exclusive use” of their Palm Beach home. However, Stallone did not oppose Flavin’s petition to “restore” her maiden name and further agreed that their once happy marriage is now “irretrievably broken.”
Over the last several days, both Stallone and Flavin have issued statements regarding their impending divorce. And this isn’t the first time Stallone has had to dispel rumors regarding their breaking up.
After rumors began to swirl that Stallone and Flavin were separating over arguments surrounding Stallone’s beloved dog Dwight, Stallone is setting the record straight. While talking with TMZ, he said, “We did not end the relationship on such a trivial argument.”
Stallone continued, explaining to TMZ that they “just went in different directions. I have the highest respect for Jennifer. I will always love her. She’s an amazing woman. She’s the nicest human being I’ve ever met.”
Flavin has since issued her own statement as well. As Mamas Uncut reported yesterday, Flavin was the one who filed for divorce, asking the court for a “dissolution of marriage.” Flavin filed the papers in Palm Beach County on August 19.
“I’m sad to announce that after 25 years of marriage I have filed for divorce from my husband Sylvester Stallone,” she said in a statement given to People. “While we will no longer be married, I will always cherish the more than 30-year relationship that we shared, and I know we are both committed to our beautiful daughters.”
In a statement, given to USA Today, Stallone addressed the rumors of his impending divorce through his representative. The 76-year-old said, “I love my family. We are amicably and privately addressing these personal issues.”
Back in May, the couple publicly celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary. Both took to Instagram to share kind words about each other.
“Happy 25th anniversary to my amazing wife. There [are] not enough words to describe what this incredibly selfless dedicated, patient woman has meant to our lives and I only wish they could be another 25! Thank you, sweetheart!”
As People revealed, that Flavin wrote, in part, “Our marriage keeps getting better every year! I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together!” However, her post has since been deleted.
On August 10, Flavin shared a photo of herself with their three daughters, Sophia, 25, Sistine, 24, and Scarlet, 20. “These girls are my priority,” she wrote in the caption. “Nothing else matters. The 4 of us forever.”
All three of their girls commented on the photo. Scarlet commented with a heart emoji, while Sophia wrote, “You are our rock, cheerleader, and [the] most incredible mom. We are so lucky to have you. Love you so much.” And Sistine added, “Strongest woman I know.”
However as Yahoo! News pointed out, shortly before the news of their divorce went public, it was pointed out that Stallone had the tattoo he had in dedication to his wife covered up.
His rep also addressed the cover-up in a statement shared with The Daily Mail. “Mr. Stallone intended to refresh the tattoo image of his wife Jennifer; however, the results were unsatisfactory and, unfortunately, unfixable. Mr. Stallone loves his family. The Stallones are presently filming a reality show together which will debut on Paramount+.”
It’s unclear if the reality show will detail the demise of Sylvester and Jennifer’s marriage.
