A mother-to-be is mortified after her husband came with her to an ultrasound appointment and had a major problem when he discovered the gender.
Birth is gruesome. Almost always for the woman giving birth (and the baby, and the doctors and nurses). But occasionally — very occasionally — a woman’s partner has a rightful claim to labor and delivery trauma, and this may be one of those times. A man recently posted on Reddit asking if he was “the a***ole” for abandoning his wife in her hospital shortly after she gave birth… because she’d broken his hand during labor.
“I was pretty shocked to discover that his wife reached out to me, basically crying about what happened, how she couldn’t believe it, and how now that we’re in the same camp, so to speak, we should maintain a relationship so our daughters can still be in each other’s lives and so we can commiserate.”
A woman recently wrote in to the popular Am I The A**hole (AITA) Reddit subforum with a problem: She has been the moderator for a forum for women who cannot have children for seven years. She has become very close with the women in the community, all of whom are unable to have children for one reason or another.
