You’ve probably seen Taylor Swift popping up on fellow NFL WAG (wives and girlfriends) Chariah Gordon’s social media lately.
That’s because the two have quickly become best friends since the “Shake It Off” singer started dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Travis Kelce, last summer.
The two have gotten so close that Gordon, who is engaged to Kelce’s teammate, Mecole Hardman Jr., recently referred to Swift as her “sis” in an interview with “Glamour.”

“I actually got a chance to meet her at Trav’s house and she was just super, super sweet,” Gordon told the publication. “And since then we’ve been super cool. I call her my sis. That’s my sis.”
But like most “siblings,” there comes a time when being a sister transitions into being an “auntie.”
And it’s a role Swift seems to be taking very seriously with Gordon’s two children—more specifically her daughter, CiCi Hardman.
In fact, Gordon recently revealed that Swift gifted “Baby Ci” a handmade blanket as a memento.
If you’re wondering when someone like Swift would have time to make a blanket from scratch, you’d be surprised to learn that she did it during the European leg of her recent “The Eras Tour.”
“It’s so freaking cute and so thoughtful,” Gordon told the outlet.
“She said that her aunt did it for her when she was a kid and she wanted to do the same for me,” she added. “So she, in between shows, was making blankets and keeping my kids super near.”
Gordon describes what it was like meeting Swift
Gordon, who also shares a son, Mecole Hardman III, with her fiancé, went on to describe Swift as a “sweet, down-to-earth girl” who makes you forget she’s one of the biggest stars on the planet.
“I forgot that she was even Taylor Swift, that’s how she makes you feel,” Gordon explained.
“I wasn’t saying, oh my God, this is Taylor. I’m like, oh, this is one of my home girls from back home. That’s how I felt. So I love it,” she continued.
The interview comes just one week after Swift was pictured holding baby CiCi on Gordon’s Instagram Story.
“Auntie Tay & Baby Ci,” Gordon wrote in a text overlay.
But even that’s not the most talked-about photo between Gordon and Swift, who have now been friends for more than a year.
On Oct. 23, 2023, Gordon took to Instagram to post what seemed to be a normal picture of her and her fiancé alongside Swift, who was giving Kelce a kiss on the cheek.
What Gordon didn’t realize—until after posting the photo—is that it was the very first time fans got to see a Swift-Kelce kiss.
“I just really honestly posted because we had a good time and it was a really nice photo…I didn’t know that I was breaking the internet!” she told “Glamour” of the viral photo.
The group of four ended up recreating the photo on Sept. 6, following the Chiefs’ first win of the 2024 season.
And while the “Auntie Tay” role is new to some Swift fans, others have seen her do the same with Gigi Hadid’s daughter, Khai, whom she shares with ex-boyfriend Zayn Malik.
In September 2020, not long after Khai was born, “Auntie Tay” sent Hadid a pink handmade blanket for the baby, according to People.
